The Tribetailer Premium Digital Luggage Portable Travel Scale, A Great Electronic Baggage & Potential Postal Weighing Scale

This is the 2nd one we have purchased....this one is a gift. Ours has saved us many times!! We think this might be one of the most useful items we have ever purchased!!

Works well sometime .

First time to get a defective product from amazon. Bought it recently to use it for my upcoming trip. Read the great reviews it got before purchasing it but felt bad that it didn't work when I got and tried it. Weighing scale not working. Emailed their customer service immediately regarding it but got no reply. It's maybe just one of those unfortunate events given that this product got numerous 5 star reviews.

I like that is nice and light. I can travel with it in my hand bag.

It was great product, especially while travelling abroad, portable and handy.

I bought this in December 2015 and by October 2016 the scale had started malfunctioning. Most of the times the display shows "UNSR" when switching on. It works sometimes but I can never be sure if it is displaying the correct weight.I've sent two messages to Tribetailer (the seller) but got no response.

Hmm... So I got this scale as part of a promotion, but has turned out to be surprisingly good, with a couple of caveats.Pros:* Simple to use. Hit button to turn on. See whether you are in kilogram or pound measurement, and let the scale settle. Then strap to your luggage, etc. and weigh away.* Toggle between KG or LB is as simple as hitting the one button to turn the device off and holding the button to turn it on again, and keep holding until it toggles to your desired measurement unit.* Pretty accurate for the things I tried weighing around the house: backpack, hand weights, box of hand weights, cat litter containers, computers, hand truck, and of course, luggage. Basically whatever I can get the nylon webbing strap and buckle through and around.* The racetrack shaped doughnut is stiff and strong. No give while weighing things, which was a VERY pleasant surprise. I have medium/largish hands and the fit in my hand was great.* CR2025 lithium coin cell battery with an easy to slide out battery tray.* Compact for the comfort handle and strap.* Really feels like it's built to last.Cons:* The print on the handle is flipped vs the LCD readout from the handle.* The LCD readout from the handle is kinda deeply recessed into the handle and there is no LED illumination. So weighing your luggage in a dark hallway or room is going to be a no-go.* Takes a couple of seconds for the scale's weight reading to settle. If you have shaky or jittery hands, this may prove a bit trying. I found this while weighing 2 x 18lb full cat litter boxes.* If your luggage happens to have very little clearance or there isn't a suitable handle to snap the strap around, you may be out of luck, since this unit requires you to be able to snake the strap and clip through a loop or handle on your luggage and for you to lift/hold up to get a reading.* If you happen to the shorter than your luggage or are not able to lift the luggage up by this measuring handle, this may be an issue as well.Suggestions for buyers/seller:* Include a narrower strap in addition to the one attached to the hand scale, so you can snake the smaller nylon webbing through your target item. This would be a nice to have to include in the box.* Change it so that there is an LED light in there. It will make it MUCH easier to read the weight value. Better yet, OLED. :) I would suggest a flashlight, but let's face it... if you are lifting up something in the 40-50lb range with your hands... it might be hard to work a flashlight.* Include a strap/get a strap to pair with this so you can hook up the scale to the bag and loop another strap through the scale handle itself so you can hang it from an overhead bar to get a reading.* If you are going to operate this in a wet environment, maybe a baggie or silicone wrap to keep the unit dry. It doesn't look like it is waterproof.Overall, I really liked this hand scale. It's small, versatile, and I can see it being included in my next trip to make sure I keep my bags within the weight range. For folks who mail things or who want a scale to bring along for shopping trips, this would be great for that as well. Just hook it up to your basket and zero out the weight of the basket, and take a measurement. When not in use, just have it clipped around your backpack/purse/shopping bag/etc.I've been looking for a luggage hand scale for a while and when I was offered a promotional discount for this item, in exchange for an unbiased review, I thought it worth giving it a go. It's got a couple of things I'd improve on(light!) but overall, it's a great little hand scale for luggage and other uses.
