Dan Postmens Franklin Square Toe

Dan Post makes high quality boots and these are no exception. They look good and are really comfortable. However, they tend to run a little large. You might need to order a size smaller than you usually do for this particular style.

Nice everday boots. These are well made and short enough, if you have a high instep, makes it easier to put em on

the sole of the right boot came apart after 9 days. don't waste your time and money. Ariat and Durango boots both last longer than 10 days and are less expensive

The fit when new is terrific, looks are great. The problem arises two weeks down the road when cushioning at the heel shifts. It then becomes uncomfortable as the gel cushioning almost doubles over. A well intentioned idea suffering from poor execution. I'd avoid for something simpler. Have 2 other pairs of Dan Post, no qualms.

Keep in mind these boots look nothing like the sand colored pictures posted. They are oiled and dark. I ended up ordering these from boot barn and they ordered them directly from dan post. And btw dan post sent used worn boots to me through boot barn just like amazon did lol. Go figure. It took 2 sellers and 4 pairs of boots to get a new boot that wasn't worn, damaged or a factory error. With that said these boots are SUPER comfy.Update: Holy smokes!! I am either getting factory seconds or Dan Post has pooped the bed with their quality. My 1st pair were used and torn up but sold as new. The 2nd pair replacements I received today were new. BUT the bottom of the boot that mounts to the heel is awful. The tread of the shoe is longer than the boot and it's not even mounted properly. See the 4 heel pictures I posted and judge for yourself. These are going back as well. I ordered a 3rd set. If that doesn't work I will try boot barn.I am currently waiting for my replacement boots. Amazon sent me used boots with tears in the leather and a small hole. Damage was on both inner big toe side. There was also scuff marks that someone attempted to cover up with oil and a brush. Heavily oiled leather is obvious as well. I was quite surprised they assumed someone would be ok with this. These were sold as new $245 on sale. Besides that I love the boots. Good fit and great feel. Dang good looking boot. I give the boots 5 stars. Amazon quality control negative 5 stars.
