WildCape UMF East Cape Manuka Honey (UMF 10+, 250g)

I am always looking to try something new that is good for your health and good for the tummy. I have seen lots of reviews about Manuka honey and had suggested it to a friend whose husband was about to lose his foot. Well in medical grade it saved his foot from amputation. Now I eat edible grade Manuka honey daily and it has really been good for my IBS. It helps ease my intestines and has kept it in check for a few weeks now. This is a great buy, I totally recommend. Manuka honey does taste a little different then regular honey, more bitter but still totally edible right from the container.

We weren't aware of Manuka honey until a few weeks ago when I read that it might help our Doberman with her fatty tumors. We had low expectations but decided there was nothing to lose. These were very large tumors that she's had for a couple years but after 4 or 5 weeks on a teaspoonful of honey daily, they are all smaller and a couple are down to half the previous size. And fortunately she loves the rather strong taste of the honey and considers her daily dose quite a treat. This stuff is amazing!

Although this is not my favorite brand of Manuka Honey, this is still good quality stuff. If you're dealing with an infection, it's a good idea to use UMF 15+ or 20+... for everyday use and health maintenance, I find UMF 10+ to be good. With something like this, it's really not worth it to sacrifice quality. I understand the price issue, but manuka honey is truly one of nature's miracles, straight from New Zealand.I was suffering from a serious sinus staph infection for months, and doctors fed me antibiotics until I became totally immune to them. Still, my infection roared on. My ENT sounded clueless as he suggested I come in to see him again. I refused, and decided to take my health into my own hands.With the use of about a spoonful of UMF 20+ Manuka Honey every day (about 16 oz. total, including a 2nd jar of UMF 15+), along with a homemade nasal inhaler made of Dead Sea Salt, Pink Himalayan Salt, and essential oils, I cured my sinus staph infection. Completely. It was miraculous, and I am truly a manuka honey believer after this.If you have a skin infection, try mixing this manuka honey with manuka essential oil. It will work wonders, in ways conventional medicine can never "catch up" to. Ironic, since nature is where it all started, and modern medicine tried to copy its effects using synthetic toxins.The taste of the honey is rich and super sweet, the color is a vivid golden yellow. Like I said, not the best in my opinion, but still very good.

I've had a lot of honey, but I never had anything quite like this, especially because of the price tag. Fortunately I was able to get this on a lightning deal. It has a gritty texture and a bitter, not-as-sweet honey taste. It's definitely unique and pleasing to my tastebuds. I don't know anything about UMF, though. All I know is that it's delicious, especially on toast, but I probably wouldn't use it as a sweetener like one would with regular honey. Mine came in a plastic bottle, and for those who have asked, it doesn't say if it is BPA-free.

Couldn't find this in stores so ordered it because of its health benefits, specifically for me its effect on acid reflux.I made a caffeine free drink of ceylon cinnamon and manuka honey and very hot water. Pour hot water over cinnamon, let sit for half an hour then add the honey. Let the cinnamon dregs settle to the bottom until the liquid is clear. Delicious.

The past two times I've ordered this its different , when opened the honey is crystallized. It doesn't taste the same. its like eating sugar - yuck . I've been using this brand for years and loved it. I guess I have to look for another brand . Wish there was a way I could talk to the maker to ask whats going on.

It has a very good flavor, I can't contest to its healing abilities tho. I started taking it every day with tea in hopes that it would help alleviate some of the stomach problems I have been plaged with for years, I ran into a friend that swore by this honey as a "healing miracle" but in the end, at least for me it was just some delightful different flavored honey
