Yes To Carrots Nourishing Shampoo for Normal to Dry Hair, 16.9 Fluid Ounce (Pack of 2)

A great natural shampoo.The scent is similar to the Yes To Carrots body wash, and in comes in a similarly sized (large) bottle. The mild scent (not much like carrots) doesn't linger. The shampoo seems gentle on my and the GF's scalp and hair even in the harsh winter the mid-Atlantic is suffering this year. A little goes a long way, I could see this 2-pack lasting us through the year.Switching to this shampoo is my part of my campaign to convert to using more natural products and eliminating unnecessarily toxic personal products. This shampoo rates well on EWG's "skindeep" (cosmetics database for ingredients and toxicity).It's nice being able to see how much product is left in the transparent bottle.The GF and I are "Yes to" converts, we use their body washes (several varieties) and body butter already, and now the shampoo. All of their products are good: natural ingredients, no fake cloying fragrances, reasonable pricing, good for sensitive skin. Surprisingly inexpensive, especially using Subscribe+Save. Recommended!

Recently I was reading on on the bad ingredient in shampoo and conditioners, this sent me on a search for a good natural shampoo and conditioner. I love Yes, to Carrots! It has a soft and nice scent that is not overpowering. It cleans my hair without over drying. I am going to continue using this shampoo!Note: I read that some people did not like this shampoo after trying it for a couple of uses. The reality is that traditional shampoos have so many bad ingredients that cause build up in our hair and it takes about 3 weeks of use everyday to completely clean out the residue left by other shampoos and styling products. So if you are switching from a traditional shampoo to a natural one, try it for at least three weeks to decide if you like it. Trust me once your hair is clean of all residue you will love how your hair feels and how amazing and shinny your hair will look!

I most probably would never have tried this brand had I not had the opportunity through the Amazon Vine Program.I've been quite pleased with this Shampoo!! Moving to this dry climate (from the humid one of Houston) has been a real challenge to find a shampoo that was not too drying as well as one that did not strip the color from my hair. Using this Yes to Carrots Shampoo cleans my hair well & along with the YTC Conditioner, has kept my hair from being fly-away & nearly unmanageable (as it has been since my move)! Thank heavens! Being in my 70's with dry skin & living in a dry climate, and a very active lifestyle, I definitely need good quality moisturizing products & thus far, every Yes to Carrots product that I've tried has been excellent.High marks from me for the YTC Body Butter and their Moisturing Day Cream my very favorite, deserving of 6 stars at least. (This fine day cream has reduced my facial age spots significantly & I'm enjoying a much clearer complexion & very soft skin that lasts all day long!)

I live in a rural area so I'm not on city water and our well water is somewhat hard which can be a bit hard on my hair. Lots of times I'll use a moisturizing shampoo but unfortunately, no matter what brand I've tried, eventually my hair will get where it just feels weighed down and not clean. I've tried using clarifying shampoos that are supposed to cleanse the build up from your hair but I end up with a bird's nest that even using lots of spray detangler, is extremely hard to comb and style. Also, even using anti-frizz serum doesn't help with my hair being flyaway after using clarifying shampoos so I started avoiding them.This shampoo leaves my hair feeling soft and clean and though I still used a few sprays of detangler, it was super easy to comb through my long hair and I had no flyaways after blow drying. I started using this about every other day or so (I wash my hair daily because I have oily skin) and so far, I'm really loving the results.So long as this continues to work so well, I'm definitely going to keep using. I also thought the price was very good. The 2 bottles were large and will last a long time.

Being a guy my mentality is often times "more is better". My "go to" shampoo used to be a shampoo plus conditioner with dandruff control. No matter how often I washed my hair my scalp would eventually flake. It also smelled like a bouquet of plastic flowers and it was several shades of blue and white (the shampoo, not my hair). Because the shampoo was so caustic, my hair was always dry and fragile also. Once day when I ran out of the stuff, I started using my girlfriend's Yes to Carrots shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo smelled nice, looked of a clear liquid, and didn't have any ingredients that could fend off an alien invasion. Somewhat out of character, I actually did read the directions on the back of each bottle (shampoo first, then leave conditioner in for a couple minutes before rinsing). I've been using the Yes To Carrots duo for about a year now and I've noticed stronger hair and better scalp. I only buy Yes To Carrots shampoo and conditioner now but (BONUS) my now fiancée thinks that I'm ever the nice guy buying it for her. I keep my all-in-one bottle of shampoo filled with water in the bathroom to maintain the illusion. Win.
