This is an excellent stand and very sturdy. My previous one was an extending type which requires a screw to be tightened to adjust the height which was aside from coming undone all the time was very unstable for some reason. I had to replace it when the height adjusting screw came undone on a bike ride half of the stand fell off somewhere!No such issues with this stand - it has a push button to adjust and the extending part doesn't seem to pull all the way apart so that's a good start. As mentioned it is very stable in comparison to my old one too.The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is the supplied bolt. This needs to be tightened with an extra large Allen key - the type you won't find lying around! On my bike some other fixings obscure access with a screwdriver so only an Allen key would do and a suitable one isn't supplied. A hex bolt would also have worked here instead.

Couldn’t fit the stand anywhere on my bike as the fixing bolt was too large and fragile adjustable plastic insert.

A couple of other reviewers have mentioned the size of the hex key needed, I thought I had one large enough. First picture is the largest hex key I have, it just swivelled loosely in the hole, the second is the hex fitting in my socket set. It fitted, but the top is too tight against the frame to get any leverage onto. The outside of the hex hole is round so I couldn't even get a spanner to it. Managed to get it a bit tight with the socket hex but not tight enough, when pushed upwards, the stand was still very loose and would hit the wheel easily. Don't buy unless you have something special to tighten this or more space behind the bike frame.
