VViViD 3M Clear Scotchgard Paint Protector Vinyl Wrap 2 Inch Wide Tape Roll (2 Inch x 48 Inch)

Seems to be a recut. Companies will sell off product that doesn't meet their quality standards. They do this in a batch, usually. So the reseller may re inspect the batch and through away the actual defect material and sell the remaining good material. I believe that is the case with this version of the 3M paint protector. The edges are smooth on one side and very rough on the other as in cut/torn with a butter knife. May actualy be the material at the edge of the machine that was left as a scrap end.I believe you need to put this on wet. I put it on dry and there are so many air bubbles.It suits my needs as it is a protective layer uner some rubber so the paint doesn't get rubbed off.It is a decent thickness and tough. You will be getting a genuine 3M product that has one rough edge. I noticed no problems with clarity or adheasion, aside from bubbles.

I acquired this protective film to use on bicycle frames. It is fantastic - very durable and easy to apply. I used the soapy water method of installation - which makes it almost too easy! Simply add a couple drops of Dawn liquid to a spray bottle of water - spray the surface and apply the film. Any bubbles can be dealt with very easily before the soapy water dries.One other tip: I used a scrapbook type corner radius tool to quickly cut rounded corners on this tape. That should help to keep the corners from peeling up prematurely.

Used this to protect the surface of a steel weight rack. For some reason the weight rack had a slightly texture coating like grip tape. The texture would eventually wear as well as the coating on the weights. This tape worked flawlessly to eliminate the friction!

The wrap I received seemed to have a bit of a burr on one of the edges, but I was able to use an x-acto knife to trim it off. It definitely does the job though and I haven't been able to find another substitute for the price

Sadly disappointed with the misrepresentation of the quantity. The picture shows a full roll and my picture shows how much you actually get. You're much better off buying the 4" roll and cutting it in half.

Sent less material than advertised.Actual dimensions: 82-7/8 by 1-3/4. That effectively increases the price by 14%.Edge cut is ragged. This raises concerns about adhesion with weather exposure.

The edges of the vinyl look like they have been cut with a pair of child’s craft scissors. well maybe not that bad but certainly not what you would expect…see picture.

Applied this 3M clear tape to areas of my new bicycle frame which are vulnerable to rocks off the tires. Glad I did since after a couple years the tape looks like it has prevented a bunch of paint chips. If you often ride gravel trails then you really need this stuff to protect your ride;) !
