They came with a nice belt case, I can see myself using this for YEARS taken care of properly. Yes, they were a little expensive - but the extra dough gets you a tool that will serve you well for a long time. They make a few different models of electricians shears - it's really up to preference on what might work best for you. I've tried the "Ergonomic Angled" model a friend had... absolutely fantastic cutting performance, but it always felt weird in my hand. THESE I really like.
