MeCam Classic 2" Mini Wearable Video Camera, Black, One Size

Bought it because i wanted to try recording a roller coaster ride without having the trouble of holding a recording device, however the footage was really shaky & I couldn't determine whether I'll be able to capture the angle that I wanted when I pinned it on my clothes. But I guess it's for the price I paid for.

What can I say about the MeCam Classic Black. I purchased it because of personal incidents that were happening to my children on their way to and from school each day. I will not go into any details. This is one product I researched and did not receive as a reviewer sample but like my reviews will give my honest opinion. I love the MeCam. but I have reservations on the quality of the video. At this price I cannot complain too much. It is a good camera for it's purpose but you will not shoot high end images with it and that was not the intent. I would give it five stars if it had better quality video. In fact it deserves 4.5 but I am not able to do that. It is very easy to use. I charged it, read the instructions and it works, They even sent me the update to their firmware when requested and again on my iMac was easily able to update the software. We used it for one of my son's Birthday party where he was wearing it the whole time and it recorded a full two hours with ease. It was fun to watch his point of view! I do recommend it, it works, well worth the money.

Absolutely awful video quality. Grainy, jumpy. No way would you want to upload a vid from this to Youtube. This would have been junk even 15 years ago. No excuse for this in 2016. Returned it and instead strung up my old iPhone 5 around my neck with some string and used that. What a difference, perfect crisp high def and better sound too.

The media could not be loaded.  The MeCam Classic is a small, lightweight POV camera that charges through a USB cord and carries a removable SD Card. It takes video, still photographs, and can film in Infrared mode. Check out the video I took while walking through some woods. You can see that the filming was clearest when I was standing still or moving slowly. You can also hear the crunching of the sticks and leaves, which I thought was pretty cool!First, let's talk about the PROS of the MeCam Classic: Obviously it's very small and lightweight with makes it portable and easy to use. You can just pin it to an item of clothing, or wear it as a necklace. Also, the USB charging and removable SD Card makes charging and uploading a breeze. Another point that I thought was impressive, was that such a small device can have so many functions- video, photography, and infrared functions. In my use of the camera, I found that it's best for taking video while staying still and capturing anything going on or moving in front of you. The audio is good quality too, so I will definitely use this over Christmas time to capture people opening their presents, or maybe Christmas carolers!Now, let's discuss some areas that you might consider CONS of the product: Being so small and lightweight definitely affects that stability of the camera. If you are moderately moving, or walking, during filming, the footage will be bouncy; it's definitely not for active filming. Also, something to keep in mind, is that the MeCam Classic is NOT high definition. Although MeCam does make an HD quality product that you can buy.Overall, the MeCam Classic is a fun gadget that is definitely unique. For a price of only $69.99, it definitely works well for what it's made for. Just remember, it works best if you keep the camera still and capture what is in front of you. Again, perfect for gift opening and Christmas morning! First, the MeCam is a small, colorful wearable camera. It is a fun novelty item and you can get some interesting images or footage from it.My feelings about the MeCam are mixed. But I think the $69.99 price point is a little high for the quality, considering I get smoother video from my smartphone.MeCam Pros:* Small and discreet* Pin on or wear as a necklace* Mac users can import the videos from Photos Apple App* Fairly easy to use* You can get some interesting images or video footageMeCam Cons:* There is no monitor so you cannot see what you are recording, so far I have only recorded the sky and ceiling when pinned to my lapel area. I need to practice to actually get useful footage. Perhaps next time I will try hip level.* The video footage is quite shaky and low resolution. It reminds me of time lapse images.* The build feels fairly cheap, the MeCam's pin is basically a safety pin. I thought this item was waterproof when I bought it but it wasn't and I realize that it was my fault. But they don't do refunds so make sure this product meets all your expectations before you purchase.
