Great Drinking Fountain for Multiple Cats
I’m very pleased with this fountain. Our cats are pleased with the fountain, too!The Pros:-Cats are picky about their water. They will simply not drink and become dehydrated if the water isn’t clean and smells badly to them. The water from the fountain is clean and flowing, so they like it and they drink it.-It’s amazing that the water always looks clean, versus that milky look you get just hours after cleaning a regular water bowl.-I typically just toss a cup of water in every morning to keep it to the fill line. Way easier than cleaning the slime out of a water dish every day. There is no slime!-I take it apart clean all the parts every two weeks as instructed, and by that time, some of the motor parts have a very tiny bit of slime on them, but not the rest.-The filters do make a huge difference. No mater what you do, cats get dust and their hair in the fountain, but the filters keep it out of the bowl and fountain part, so it always is clean and clear! You simply pull any dirt and dust away from the filters, rinse them off - and you’re good to go!-We have three cats. They have always found a way to get some food into their water bowls. Of course, that fouls the water right away. We now simply put the food on one side of the room and the fountain on the other side and that eliminates that problem. They seem to like to separation. Our cats are now drinking way more - and that’s very important to their health and well-being.Things to Watch:-Make sure you know how long your fountain can run without refilling BEFORE you go away for a weekend or longer. Between the amount a pet or pets (particularly dogs) drink and evaporation, the level may quickly drop too low and burn out the pump.-Don’t wait for the water level to drop. I simply toss a glass of water in there every day as part of my morning routine. Keeps things fresh and I know the level won’t drop to a point where the (water cooled) pump will burn out.-We have gone away for 2-3 days, leaving our cats, and everything has been okay, but your results will vary, so be serious about experimenting and know how long it takes for the water level to a point where it’s too low for the fountain to operate properly. The company shouldn’t really be held responsible if evaporation and big drinkers run it dry. That’s on the owner. Learn the limits. It’s a good idea to have a backup regular water bowl if you do go away. Between doing this, their dry food and a couple of extra litter boxes, you can go away for a weekend and feel confident your cat(s) will be fine. However some cats don’t just eat when they need to, and have to be given measured amounts of food at certain times. There are feeding systems that handle that challenge.Of course, I don’t recommend leaving dogs, as they can only be left for a few hours at a time, they drink more and need to go out. Someone needs to come in at least 2-3x a day to look after them and let them out.-So far, my fountain has NO motor noise, so if you get one that’s really loud, it may be faulty. Contact the company because that’s not normal. Mine, however, has been perfectly fine.-There is a faint trickling sound of water, as there should be when it’s running, because it’s a fountain! If that bugs you, locate it in a place where it won’t. We have a fountain in the master bathroom next to our bedroom and you can hear a drip-drip sound. It’s very quiet and actually is kind of nice. Again, if a quiet dripping sound bugs you, move it to a different spot so it doesn’t bother you.-The first time I cleaned the fountain, it took me a bit longer as I was simply learning how to take it apart and put it back together. The second time was a breeze and it didn’t seem like a “project.”-I cleaned the two porcelain parts and the rest using Dawn dish soap and a cloth dish rag. That made sure that all was clean and it removed and killed off any slime that may have been present on any of the parts. Of course, rinse it thoroughly after using the soap.-Better to put the fountain on a tile or linoleum floor, versus hardwood, so that if any water does get out there’s no damage.-Tuck your instructions in a convenient place along with the cleaning brushes and extra filters.-Make sure you put the website and other contact info into your phone or computer so you always know where to get the filters and you can order a new motor if/when it finally gives out.-Make sure others in your family or someone who might be watching your pet(s) understands how all of this works so you’re sure it’s filled, clean and working properly.-Train your pet to use it by removing their old water bowl, so they “get it.” Otherwise, they may just default to the old bowl and not use the fountain. In our case, all three cats were fascinated by the fountain, preferred it and switched to it right away.-Cats like running water. You put bowl of water in front of your cat and it just sits there untouched. But turn on the tap and your cat laps up the dripping water. There are several reasons your cat won't may not touch unmoving water.Instinctively, cats know to be more suspicious of still water, realizing that stagnant water isn't always safe.Their wild DNA tells them still water can be contaminated, so they know that running water is safer.Plenty of clean water is critical to a pet’s health. This fountain, when you do your part, is a great way to give your pets the fresh water they need, 24/7.This fountain is great. We have had cats for many years, but this is our first fountain.Glad we bought one and happy we bought this one.

Cat Proof
One of my cats is a little too curious with her water fountains, and always finds a way to take them apart and spill the water. Well this thing is heavy duty and impossible for her to destroy! I’ve been using it for almost 7 months and it is still going strong. I completely take it apart and clean it every week, changing the filter each time and the sponge thing once a month. The bowl gets slimy if it goes too long between cleaning. Replacement filters are pretty affordable. Every day, I top off the water so it keeps it a little fresh and the water level from getting too low. The filter is pretty good, not much visible debris in the water. My specific issue is hard water buildup. The motor is still working, but getting a lot of buildup around the fan so I don’t expect it to last much longer. That part is impossible to get a brush in and I don’t want to risk ruining the motor with a cleaning agent. This does come with two motors, so I might switch to bottled water when this first motor inevitably goes out. Overall, I definitely recommend! And think it would work well for multiple cat households, but clean it weekly!

Had it for 2&1/2 Years-Still Like New
I’ve had this water for two and a half years and it’s never needed a replacement for anything. Everything comes apart to be thoroughly washed which makes it last incredibly long. 0 issues at all. Works like it did the first day I got it. Highly recommend. You will spend the money once if you buy this fountain.

Cat loves it & I love it! Slam dunk w/ this one
First and foremost, I should preface this review by stating I initially purchased a stainless steel cat drinking fountain based on aesthetics and mostly the company’s claims due to lack of reviews. It ended up being a disaster, from the confusion directions, missing pieces, and a piece was too small therefore the fountain wouldn’t work AT ALL. Waste.Had I seen this beautiful foundation around the time I purchased the stainless steel disaster I would have absolutely chosen this sky blue beauty from the get go. My Nelson is 15 years young and likes what he likes, AND THAT’S IT, OK ?! ( in bratty Nelson voice.) He’s the love of my life along with his adopted brother, Milo, who we laid to rest in a completely unexpected and terrifying situation. We both have been really feeling how hard life is without his loving spirit, so I’ve been trying to introduce new and healthy activities so Nelson doesn’t succumb to his feelings of sadness and depression. This fountain I thought would be sent back to Amazon just as quickly as it arrived on our front porch, but I was COMPLETELY wrong !This fountain is so quiet, yet if there is nothing but silence you can hear the slightest most peaceful fluttering of the cat drinking fountain. I love it! Nelson drinks from the top of the fountain when he’s on all fours, but sips out of the lower basin when he’s feeling lazy. I think he appreciates his older age being and new needs being accommodated. The only part that kind of sucks about this fountain, but really truly is such a blessing: he drinks significantly more than he used to. I top off the fountain with a small cup of water every night. If I do not do this, the lower basin looks drastically low and he will just choose not to take a drink of water. For trips or vacations, I think one of those gravity feeder/waterer things will have to be added to his cat paradiso I have set up in our domicile. This is 100% fine and great, however I can see him asking me why there isn’t a second beautiful sky blue fountain fluttering peacefully, waiting to hydrate him.Get this! It’s a great size, it gives your cats multiple options ( multiple cats can drink from the same fountain without getting in each other’s way.) Honestly, I really just want to purchase a couple more of these to get rid of the annoying water bowls. I’ve gifted my brother this fountain for his fur son, and he has given it rave reviews as well!

Sturdy bowl with little flaw design
The media could not be loaded. My kid requested this for our cat (now age3). I must say this is quite heavy so i guess moneys worth... but its alittle loud when in use. Also i must say it will take awhile for ur cat to not be scared by the mechanism of this product, she might find it intimidating at first. lastly the wires that plugs into the power does not come off so u cant properly wash it. thats it everything else does what it advertises.

After 7 months going strong.
I bought more filters. Replace the filters. Clean it extra. I got it as a lazy way to keep my cat taken care of while I’m out of the house. Needs refilling every day if possible- will hold up for a day or two without accumulating too concerning amount of bacteria. My cat enjoys the product. Mostly silent, not completely. Motor and parts need to be cleaned to ensure healthy water consumption.

Pretty and functional
The fountain is pretty good. I was worried about it leaking, as the instructions for the waterproof sleeve were not super clear, but is fine so far after a few months. Have to be gentle lifting it to clean as it is porcelain. I like that it is not plastic though. My only complaint is that my dog gets the water all over the floor when she drinks, so I had to put a tray under it so not water everywhere on my hardwood floors and wreck. Maybe because of round shape and round inside does not leave much room for face to get in and drink?!? My cats love it though and works good for them.
