CCLS is the only and best product to use in septic systems! In fact I believe it’s cheaper than using RID. Who wants to dump more stuff solid down the toilet? This easy to use solution does an amazing job with the junk that goes down there anyway. Since we don’t use the disposal, the extra food scraps get in the compost pile and the trash depending. There’s no smell that I’ve noticed and I kept one of the individual 32 oz bottles so I just use that to measure the correct amount each month. We’ve never had a problem with our septic tank and when they come to pump the tank there’s no smell either. We started with 4 people living here and we’re down to 2 peeps now, and the last time we had the tank pumped, the guy said we could have gone 8 yrs between pumping yet we’ve always kept it at every 5 yrs. The pumpers have said that we’re doing everything correctly to maintain the health of the system. I just pour it down the upstairs toilet and that’s all I needed to do, although it’s good for cleaning drains and possible other clogs, yet we manually remove clogs as soon as we notice water backing up! It’s not hard to do, just DO NOT throw the clogs in the toilet or you’ll end up with a clog there!!!

I bought a house built in 1974 with a long neglected septic and drain field. Since it was a single older person living here when I bought it the field looked fine and passed inspection. Once the family moved in I quickly noticed the field would hold a large amount of water and the overflow pipe would flow during heavy water use.I brought a septic guy out to talk about a treatment plant and he recommended I move all grey water to a separate system and use it to water plants while using this in the septic. Said to pour an entire bottle every month for 6 months and then every other for a year. Im half way through the year portion and I have to say this appears to work. After the 6 month run my septic field is bone dry all the time. Overflow pipe will have water in it during sustained heavy periods of rain but it never overflows and quickly goes down. All in all I’d say this works but I won’t know 100% how well until I move the grey water back to the main system next year. Until then I’m going back to a bottle a month.

Easy to use and gets the job done.

I have been using this product for three years now and stopped used RidEx. The company I use to clean out my septic system told me my tank had lots of sludge at the bottom last time...that's not a good thing! He suggested using something other than RidEx but his company didn't allow him to make recommendations. But my brother did...and he's a home builder! CCLS is what he's been using and recommending for over a decade. Fast forward 3 years to my recent tank clean-out...MUCH BETTER. He said the sludge was about 20% or less of what it was the last time (sludge is toilet paper and waste that's not broken down). AND it's an OLD septic system (like 30+ years old). I need to keep it in good working order as long as I can. I'm a loyal customer now!

This treatment is great. I use it in the drains once a week, but the way it is shipped is terrible. Amazon did not secure it in the box so it rolled around and leaked all over the refrigerator filter that was shipped with it. Would be better if it was not shipped with other items.
