Columbia Men's Silver Ridge Cargo Pant

I bought them for husband and the waist and legs fit as expected. I bought his usual length, but they were a little too long. I like them because we travel very lightly with only a carry on backpack and an underseat bag. We take enough clothes for 3 days, so we wash when we run out of clothes. When we travel to Scotland, most places only have racks to dry clothes on, and these pants dry by the next morning. They are very comfortable on 8 hours flights. During the winter, he wears leggings under them because they are very thin. They repel water and wind, but are not waterPROOF. Otherwise you would not be able to clean them in a washing machine. You can dry them in an electric dryer on low. His pants have never shrunk in the dryer, and I know they have dried on normal heat with his jeans. We did not remove them when dry, and let them keep tumbling with his jeans. These are the "slacks" I can get him to wear instead of jeans when traveling, so they are comfortable. He didn't complain about the pockets.

These are the most comfortable pants I've ever owned I think, and have largely replaced jeans as my default pants. They are moderately baggy and look/function well in both the office and shop. You won't fit an 8 inch tablet in the back pocket but it's plenty big enough for a normal phone and wallet. The side pockets are larger. They dry in the sun in less than an hour, overnight if hung in the house. They are made of ripstop nylon so durability is good. When they first arrive they feel sort of like you're wearing a parachute but over the course of a dozen or so washes they break in and feel almost silk-like. The only negative is the length is longer than advertised by almost 3 inches, so order at least a size below what you normally wear.

Description is wrong! These pants, though nice and lightweight, do not unzip to make shorts. They are cargo pants only, again an inaccurate product description that seems to be a recurring problem at Amazon. I'll keep them, next time I buy from a local store where I will know what I'm purchasing.

Columbia sells good quality outdoor wear with a variety of thoughtful features. I own other items and like the brand overall. BUT - why do half the reviews need to discuss "interpreting" their waist size - especially when it's supposedly just in inches? This is a fixable issue and Columbia isn't helping their reputation by letting it go on and on and on. The pants were what I wanted. I purchased one waist size UP from my normal. The downside of messing with waist measurements is it does affect both butt fit and leg length (a little blousy, a little long).

My husband loves these light weight cargo pants …….they are pretty much the only type of pant he wears.

I was extremely happy with my purchase until I put it into my washer for first wash. The fabric had so many rips at several places. The quality of pant material is very poor. I’m extremely disappointed.

La tela protege del frío pero no te hace sudar en el calor. Son lo más cómodo que he usado.

Comodos y ligeros, evitan calor y se lavan muy facil, mucho espacio para guardar con seguridad y bonito diseño, me gustan mucho, satisface mis necesidades para salir a Fotografiar la naturaleza
