Easy to install!
Absolutely fantastic! I had to replace a fixture put in by my builder over an open stairwell. This lamp directs the light down and up instead of a blinding beam of light out into the room. I love it. Easy to install and good looking.

very chic , specially for small places
I bought 4 lamps like this. I have a small apt for vacations and I was looking for some lamp that were not led but normal bulbs. I saw this and immediately I knew this were the lamps.I bought it for the two rooms.need to buy a small box to put it . My husband made a small open square with wood and I painted in white and we put the back on it and then on the wall.

Art deco style looks great!
I wanted to spruce up my basement stairways with a more-stylish light fixture and came across this one, which to me looks like an art-deco style. As you can see in the photo, it looks great. The fixture is simple steel construction and the housing is open so you can in fact see right into it, which some may not find ideal. It is open on both top, bottom and in between the ribs which does allow lots of light to escape but again, some may not like that you can see the bulb within. I don't mind that.I will say that this light does not install like standard light fixtures that mount to a receptacle box or whatever -- instead, you'll need to measure and mount two bolts or screws to your walll. So, that is not ideal but it works well enough and for the price I love the look of this light so I am happy with it.

Nice design/quality product, but with a catch......
Nice design with easy install. I like the way the light falls on the wall; both up & down. Lights up the room nicely while adding contemporary design. Only wish would be an additional photo on the listing showing the back of the light. The back of the sconce is not flat. The connection for the extending wires not only extends out by approx. 3/4 of an inch, it is off-center. Therefore, if you are replacing an existing light, or already have wires extending from your wall, you will have to adjust the connection to accommodate this wall sconce. In my case, it changed my wall design from symmetrical to asymmetrical. Not a real big deal, but I wish I had known about this detail prior to the purchase.

Perfection!
I try to give fair reviews and truth is I absolutely love this light. Stylish, simple, bright, easy to install, makes my hallway more cheerful. Uses a regular lightbulb, no built in LED, which was a plus for me. And at a reasonable price.

Looks fine. Not the easiest to install.
We installed these as a low cost replacement for (very hot) halogen sconces. These sconces look fine but installing them is more complicated than it seems. The fixture's flat back with no recessed area for the wires and screw that holds the bulb socket in place means you have to trim the drywall to ensure a flush mount on the wall. You'll have to cut out about a 2"l x 1/2"w slit in the drywall from the fixture to the electrical box in the wall for the wires to tuck into. Plus you'll have to drill about a 3/8" hole in the right spot for the screw head to tuck into. It's not overly complicated but obviously takes extra time. The fixture's metal is very thin and light. It does light well. I used a 60 watt soft white LED bulb. The instructions are limited, so if you don't know much about installing fixtures you may want to look at another product or get an electrician. The pictures aren't the best, but you'll get the idea of how they look installed.

I love these!
These sconces are beautiful! We painted them the same color as the wall so they don't 'stand out' but with the light turned on the accent lighting is fabulous! Made well, easy to install

Buy something else...
This fixture comes with no direction on how to mount it to an electrical box. The picture shows two holes for anchors for wall mounting but where the wires are ran through the solid metal back plate...you can not cut in old work box, 4 inch round box ,or a 4 inch square box without losing one mounting hole. The diagram shows the splice being made behind the light buried in the wall without a junction box the code requires. You will get so pi**** off with trying to hang the light and it not laying flat against the wall if a box is behind it. Then if you do manage to drill a hole , re route the two wire to the socket behind the light...the ground wire is screwed to the socket creating another problem. Trying to get this to lay flush against the wall will make you want to throw it in the trash and buy a different style. Oh if and when you do get it on the wall flush( a bulge will be visible no matter what) the lamp socket will be your last challenge. It doesn't say what type lamp that will fit. Not too long or wide due to the inside space . This is the worse designed fixture I have ever installed in my 40 years of being an electrician..now 2 years retired. Writing this review still gets me on how not to re-invent the wheel and sell junk. I installed this in the steps leading down to a basement on a friends house and would not let it look like crap. Only good thing I can say about it is it came in a well package box . Cheap price...cheaply made... time consuming ... metal bends too easy if not very ,very careful.
