Great product!
Ubiquiti has done it again with a great and easy to use product. I have several of their Unifi series products in my home and have always found these items as an easy setup and continued use. Though they are known more in the commercial side of things, I have found their products to be almost completely turn key out of the box. The installation of this unit was easy and it looks great on the wall. The main purpose of this unit is to provide wifi to our homes Ring Doorbell. I plan to purchase the new UAP-IW that offers both 5ghz and 2.4ghz in the future

End Of Life Device
This device has served me well for years even being outdoors on my porch. At this point it's end of life and no longer receives updates. This doesn't do 5ghz but it doesn't matter because all my wifi lights in the yard only uses 2.4ghz anyhow. Even though it's EOL it still seems fine to me. At this point I'd value this around $30 at most.

Ubiquiti is always my go to when something MUST work.
I'd you're looking for the cheapest Unifi AP that runs on 48v, look no further. This is it.Unfortunately there's no openwrt support as of yet for these, which is mostly why I needed one. I was hoping the firmware for an airgateway would work, as they are the same thing pretty much, but nope.Poe pass through works great as well, I have it powered off an at capable switch, and it's able to pass through the power to run a net gear PD switch as well.

I'm a huge Ubiquiti Networks fan and I have to admit I was let down. Perhaps I received a defective product, well I know this for a fact, but never got to use it. The concept is great, I do wish though a 1Gbps option was available. Perhaps I'll give it another go in the future.

misses the mark with old technology
I am an advanced user of ubnt stuff, I have deployed hundreds of AP's and other Ubnt devices and this is one of the worst, let me explain.I have a school with about 20 AP's that work on latest wifi standards, (ac, etc..) but one of the classrooms seemed to be getting questionable coverage. Since all of the classrooms have good old wired plugs installed which no one uses anymore I thought great! i'll swap out the old network in-wall plugs for this and will deal with my crappy service.Unfortunately, my plan did not take in account that this device uses old wifi technology and virtually all devices that would connect to our wifi network are newer, thus seek AC connection where available. So here we are two weeks later with ZERO users using this device even though it has excellent coverage in the particular classroom all the chromebooks and laptops prefer lower strength AC signal than higher strength b/g/n.What annoys me is that this device which frankly is a great idea for business users would not incorporate the latest technology available why even bother?... anyway my take on this don't buy until this thing has AC if this had AC integrated i'd rate it 5 stars because it does what it is meant to do very well and is a great thing to have in my partociular setup.

Good product. We had a tiny dead zone because of thick concrete walls that this solves perfectly. works well with our existing ap set up. Be warned it requires different PoE devices than the pucks. Ended up having to order a different adapter from Amazon but all works perfectly now

Seriously snazzy unit
This thing is cool. I have a poe switch/unifi ap's throughout the house this is the perfect little unit for a loft above the garage. It provides local wifi, lets me run the uvp-executive as a deskphone and keeps my iphone on a strong signal.

Neat idea, but still needs work.
Neat idea, but still needs work. The signal is also only 2.4GHz. Not a big deal, but having 5GHz would be a very nice to have. If another WAP is even close to this device, the WAP will win over this device. You have to be in a really "dead" spot in order to get connected/thrown over to this device. It's a great idea, I just don't this it's there yet with its limit application.Notes:The device says it can connect at 150Mbps. While this is true, and you may connect at 150Mbps, the connection to the switch will only be 100Mbps.....Yea....we laughed pretty hard at this. Yes, wireless connects are half duplex. But in a business application where you have 25 people attempting to connect to a WAP, and you need 300Mbps on 2.4 and 5 GHz ranges, the limitations of have a 150Mbps with a back end connection of 100Mbps is limiting (Get the annoying question of "When I am in conference room A I have a fast connection, but in conference room B I have a slower connection!?"). You can place a WAP that will allow concurrent 2.4 and 5Ghz with a 300Mbps connecting with a 1Gb back end connection to resolve this, but this product will only work best in small, non-speed dependent applications. Hopefully this clarifies my statement and the comments ( I do agree with your comments and they are very valid points!).
