Inexpensive and accurate for fieldwork
I work in HVAC and these are perfect for measuring fan shaft sizes in tight locations. Being plastic, they are relatively durable, and the numbers are easy to read. At this price point I’m not too concerned with breaking or losing one because I have another one on back up. Measurements are accurate and perfect for out on the field.

Not precision but great for general use around the garage.
These are a great value! I've been using plastic vernier calipers for some years. I have various precision calipers for transmission, differentials, disk brakes, and engines including digital, dial, and slide. But I don't need precision for most things like pipes and hoses or basic thickness measurements. The plastic calipers work great and I don't think twice about where I set these or what I use them on. The slide is firm and the scales are easy to read. The scale is typical 1/16" versus a precision caliper with a .001 scale.

Don't let their price fool you. These calipers are for real!
Ordered for a specific job, these calipers, made from hard plastic, did the job perfectly. For precision setups and in-process measuring, I would choose a steel version, but for less demanding needs, these are perfect, AND as accurate as their more expensive big brothers.

Unbelievably good
This product is absolutely wonderful because the scale print is off, jaws don't close evenly and the depth rod hangs out the bottom an eighth inch. It would be excellent for measuring large things like plumbing pipe and car axles. I love these wonderful plastic gems so much I'm returning them so someone else can experience how wonderful they are. Oh by the way there're smooth.

Very handy tool
This is a great value when you need to measure something with good accuracy, but not highly precise. I keep one in my tool box. Great tool for inside, outside, and depth measurements.

No friction, hard to use, not as accurate or durable as cheap steel calipers
Updated from below: I ordered Ultrassist and OntaRyon calipers in the same order. My previous comments shoudl have been directed at OntaRyon which are pretty much worthless, at best factory seconds of the cheapest possible calipers. The Ultrassists are better made but still not as good as a cheap steel caliper with a rolling thumb wheel but no round dial. Still wish I had bought a steel one US made. I've had a 'General Tool' steel caliper for decades and it is robust and accurate, but apparently they are now sourcing at least some from India. An inexpensive, reasonably accurate, robust, mechanical steel caliper is very useful. Such used to be common for well under $10, and accurate to within a few thousandths of an inch. Those are harder to find now, and these plastic ones don't come close to the accuracy, utility, durability, and ease of use of those cheap steel calipers. I wish I had found a steel one instead of these. Plastic, quite simply, does not last.
