The Book Arrived early
Well the book arrived early and the book is as described, not sure what turtle they strapped it to, as it took 26 days to get here from India. This book is not sold in the United States, well sold but not stocked, but it was well worth the wait. The book is a highly detailed writing and has some pictures for instruction. Pranayama is not a light subject matter for reading.

Book is amazing Shipping not good
I already owned this book on kindle. I wanted to buy this book for a student of mine to understand prana and pranayama. If you are looking to understand WHY and How to use pranayama then this is a must have book. I love ALL of Bihar school of yoga books. It is very difficult to find a supplier that you can get access to the books quickly. When I ordered this book it was coming from India and was a month out. I never received it and got a refund. Just be mindful about that. If you are true seeker of wanting to know more and how to go deeper then buy this book.

Pranayama is the bridge between body-mind
Breathing (Pranayama) is the most vital process of the body. It influences the activities of each and every cell and most importantly, it is intimately connected with the performance of the brain function. Though breathing is an unconscious, natural process for any human being, conscious control of it provides more benefits and provides the bridge between conscious and unconscious areas of the mind. Breathing also expands one's longevity. As per Yoga, Pranamaya Kosha is the important kosha in the physical body. Many diseases are psychosomatic and they can be cured by Pranic healing (both appropriate Pranayama practice and also eating pranic food). Pranayama is also one of the 8 limbs in Hatha Yoga. There are 3 parts in the book. Part 1 explains the theory of prana and related yogic concepts such as koshas,chakras,nadis and mantra. Part 2 describes respiratory system as needed in understanding yogic and pranic physiology and the research undertaken by science on pranayama and related practices. Part 3 provides the guidelines for practicing pranayama,and the preparatory and classical practices of pranayama. Almost all Pranayama techniques have been explained greatly. There are few more good books available on Pranayama such as Swami Sivananda's 'The Science of Pranayama' published by Divine Life Society, 'Light on Pranayama: The Yogic Art of Breathing' by BKS Iyengar, etc. Off all the books, this book should be considered as encyclopedia of Pranayama. Many New Age Yoga gurus such as Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Swami Ramdev Baba, Anandamurti Guruma, Srisri conducts their sessions based on selective, advanced pranayama techniques.

Amazing text
Amazing is one word that describes this text and others from Bihar School of Yoga. For the analytical amongst us, their text give explanation, description, and depth which truly defines Yoga. I've not seen a better description of Prana and the logic behind it. I've always been peeved at other text which expect us to believe without much explanation. I can truly say, that Bihar Schools' books are a blessing to the science and art of Yoga. Keep it up!

I have compact lungs so this book explains how to deep breath and it does help. It also helps with brain function because it helps get more oxygen to the brain

What a book. I highlight/underline in all these books from the YPT. I have so many of their books & they are beyond fantastic. This book on pranayama was/is fantastic and should be read with the book on Swara yoga. I have thoroughly enjoyed this book and it has made so many things click into place. I try read 1-2 books from the YPT per month & all their books can only be described as Soul food. Nothing else quite hits the spot once you go through them - deep, profound but also backed by moderns science (for the skeptics) but all their books are good. I have yet to read any book from this publisher that is not good. For a deeper understanding of Prana/Pranayana, get this book, well worth the read and you will have a new appreciation for Pranayama breath work.

El libro llegó pero sin previo aviso me encontré con el cartero de Correos pidiéndome los impuestos de aduanas en mi puerta, en metálico y justo. Primera vez que me ocurre y eso que pido bastantes cosas que vienen de fuera de España. Al menos un aviso se agradecería. Por lo demás, todo correcto aunque el libro llega un poco perjudicado del viaje desde India.
