Brittle fasteners, good customer service
I bought two sets of this product. The first went up perfectly fine. The second seems to have been shipped with a bad batch of bolts that have broken off in my ceiling and created an enormous problem for me. I have put up four similar racks and never had an issue before. I reported a product quality issue and the seller refunded me the full purchase price, which I appreciate!

Cheap hardware on an otherwise great product
It’s decently designed for what it’s purpose is. However with minimal torque on the included lag bolts into a pine joist with a proper pre drilled hole one of the lags sheared off in the exact spot I need this thing mounted. Do yourself a favor and throw away the garbage 5/16 lag screws and go to your nearest hardware store and pick up either Grade 5 lags or use structural lags from a reputable manufacturer like Simpson. These cheap lags have now cost this project a lot more time. Seriously could the manufacturer not spent an extra $2-3 on hardened lag bolts?

Very easy to assemble, very sturdy, does exactly what i need
i bought both the SafeRacks 2'x6' (qty 1) and 3'x6' (qty 3) as well as these Overhead GearLoft 2'x4' (qty 4). I bought both brands because neither brand had all three sizes, and i needed all three. I am very happy with both. Overall, I like the Gearloft better -- it is easier to assemble, has a tighter "grid" on the base, and the grid is permanently affixed to the base, whereas the SafeRacks grid floats/slides on the base horizontally. I feel like the gearloft is a bit sturdier as well. That said, the SafeRacks is no slouch, and i dont regret the purchase in the least. The minimum height from ceiling to the bottom of the base (i.e., if you only use one vertical support per corner, instead of two bolted together) is exactly 24.5" The GearLoft minimum height is 22.75." I have extended them to about 33" (ceiling to bottom of base).First pic shows one of the corners of the SafeRacks 2'x6', next pic shows how the SafeRacks vertical supports are bolted in order to extend the height (the GearLoft is in the background here). The third pic shows the bottom grid as well as some deck hooks (purchased separately and much cheaper from SafeRacks' website). The fourth pic shows SafeRacks (left) and GearLoft (right) side by side. The fifth pic shows the GearLoft vertical support extender mechanism -- much easier than the SafeRacks, which have to be bolted -- but still very sturdy -- the more weight on the rack, the more solid the connection between the two supports. The next pic is a view of the GearLoft base/grid which is fixed. In the seventh pic, you can see I have hung my (very heavy) wheel barrow from the corner with a utility hook (also purchased separately in the same hook accessory package direct from SafeRacks).I weigh 200lb. and can put my whole weight on any corner of any of these racks and it is solid. Just make sure you anchor into a joist on both ends of angle bracket, with vertical support in between the two and you'll be fine. Actually on two of them, i actually anchored two of the GearLoft horizontally into a glue-lam beam than juts down 4" below the ceiling height (eighth pic). That worked great as well. In retrospect, i could have just anchored directly into the beam without the top angle bracket.Bottom line, buy either of these manufacturer's product with confidence. They are both awesome. No regrets with either.

High quality product and sturdy, looks great too
Craftsmanship was great -all threaded bolt holes worked!Comes with EXTRA HARDWARE -VERY SMART -GREATLY APPRECIATED since I twisted one bolt in half.I did end up increasing the size of the provided drill bit (YES comes with a drill bit! and allen wrench). The house is older so the ceiling beams have dried hard.Overall -great purchase, plan to buy a second one.I installed this solo, thus the bungie cords.

Great product
I purchased two other brands of storage shelves, I thought they were decent enough. I then had to purchase a smaller rack. No other brand sold a 2x4. This brand was so easy to install I did this one by myself. Quality is superb. Wish I would have known about this company before I bought the others.

Sturdy Rack - Two Person Install Recommended
Lots of storage with this overhead rack (2x4). SeaEagle Paddleski, electric model, paddles and life jackets fit great! I weigh 200 lbs. (ok - 212), and did a couple pull-ups on the rack to test sturdiness... it passed. Easy to install? I install myself with limited access to the attic and an intermittently working stud finder... so it could’ve been easier; (also installed twice, since my wife didn’t like the first location - but that’s another matter). Be prepared to spend a good hour installing - and get some help... and a good stud finder.

Good storage solution at a great price!
Fairly easy to install. Did all of the construction myself but had a person help me lift it into place. Not as rock solid as some other racks I've installed (side to side movement), but it is strong and not worried about it holding the max weight. Very easily adjustable up and down once in place. I have 3 stacked SUP's on it with accessories and it works great!

Be Prepared to buy extra fasteners before you start there isn't enough in the package!!
I have purchased multiple storage racks and each one that we opened was missing some of the bolts needed for installation causing us to make a trip to our local Lowe's to get parts before we could do the install.
