For the price I can't imagine a better deal.
Let me tell you how this started. I own four Gopro's and they are great cameras. No complaints. However I came up with an Idea for a video that unfortunately had about a ninety eight percent chance of destroying my camera. So I decided to buy a cheap camera to do some test runs to see if the camera would survive and if all worked out OK I would re-shoot with the Gopro. I did some research and bought the Akaso Brave 6 Plus. I did my shoot, downloaded my data and previewed my video. I was amazed! This relatively inexpensive cameras video quality was every bit as good as my four hundred and fifty dollar Gopro! And at one fourth the price! The image stabilization worked beautifully. The color and sharpness were spot on. I didn't bother re-shooting the video with the Gopro, I used the Akaso Brave 6 Plus footage and it was great. I was very impressed. So I decided to really put the Akaso Brave 6 Plus through it's paces. I tested every function, video mode, button, bell, whistle and switch. I tested it underwater, in high wind, in heavy rain, and dust. I even mounted it under my car behind the front wheel and hauled ass down a gravel country road. conclusion? I love this thing. The video quality is excellent for an action camera. 4K, 2.7K, 1440p, 1080p, and 720p with frame rates spanning 30fps to 120fps with a 20 mega pixel sensor. 2-inch LCD touch screen that works better and smother than any other action camera I own however, I noticed a little lag on photo mode but nothing unworkable. Voice control that really works well. I had no problems with the camera following commands. Three different lens view angles. waterproof up to 130FT with the included case. I only sent mine down about fifty feet for about twenty minutes and the case proved to be perfectly waterproof. Wi-Fi. App control and it came with a two button remote control. It also has creative modes, time lapse, slow motion, still photo, burst photo, self-timer, loop recording and driving mode. It comes with two Lithium Polymer batteries and I got about an hour recording time at 4K and about an hour and a half at 1080p per battery. It also came with an assortment of mounting hardware. Honestly for the price I can't imagine a better deal. In fact I'm ordering a couple more Brave 6 pluses and I'm going to purchase one of the AKASO Brave 7 LE's and give that on a try. Ill get back to you on that one. One last note: I bought my Akaso Brave 6 Plus from Amazon and paid full price ($120.00). I have not received any compensation or anything free for this review. I truly am VERY impressed with this camera. I highly recommend the Akaso Brave 6 Plus.

Definitely get this
For the prize that you paid, I am very much very well satisfied. I bought this prior to my cruise because we were gonna be in the beach and gonna do some snorkeling so I bought this so I can take videos of our under the sea adventure and it held on really good still working. This is my first time to to get me a device like this. It’s been a few months since I got this and it’s still working it’s really nice. I had a computer also when I was doing something and I needed a video camera and I don’t have a camera installed on my computer so I remember that you could actually use this one too, and it’s been so great and it just plug-in play and you will have an instant camera for your computer. .

Akaso Brave 6 Plus
I purchased this camera for my 9-year-old son for Christmas so he could make decent quality videos of himself doing scooter tricks. I was excited to purchase the new upcoming Brave 7 (not Brave 7 LE), which was originally supposed to be released before Christmas 2020, but it never came out. While it was a little disappointing since it seems the Brave 7 will incorporate the best features of all Akaso cameras into an only-slightly-more expensive package, in the end, I went with the Brave 6 Plus, which was offered at a discount at the time. Even though the Brave 7 LE has dual-screens, a more durable water proof housing, and several other things missing from the Brave 6 Plus, I went with this camera because many online reviews on YouTube suggested that its Image Stabilization was superior to the Brave 7 LE, and for scootering it was going to be used on a helmet or chest mount much of the time. My son has enjoyed the camera so far and I think the price is fair for what it is. If you're like me and are purchasing an action camera for your kid and don't want to spend the money for a GoPro, this is a good buy, as it offers many of the same features and benefits. It is not without some design missteps, however: flimsy battery door, no threading on bottom of camera to mount it (a separate plastic mount with threading is required), not particularly durable plastic housing, and other frustrating little gripes. But, it mostly makes up for these things with what it does offer, along with the price. It comes with an extra battery and many accessories as well (although no instructions for how to use them). One of the major pros is that the Akaso app integration works over WiFi pretty well and it essentially allows my son to use the camera with his iPad and make and edit little videos without me having to take out the MicroSD or import the videos into the computer. (Note: MicroSD has to be purchased separately). The app integration, along with the remote and voice commands features are pretty cool at this price point. Below is my son's review of the camera (his words): This camera has a very wide view and the resolution is amazing. Image stabilization is very smooth and the touchscreen responds very quickly. I really like the slow-motion feature because it is not choppy. It's so pleasant to watch, so smooth. There is this annoying thing whenever I put the waterproof case on the camera; the waterproof case clicks on the power button and it turns off. Even though I don’t need to use the waterproof case for what I do, I just think the camera is safer that way. So, I think the camera itself should be more durable. Otherwise, this camera is a great starter cam. The comment he made about the waterproof case is true. At least on our camera, the force of snapping the waterproof case closed causes the power button to be pushed down just enough that it turns the camera off. While you can turn the camera back on once it is in the water proof case, you cannot use the touch screen once it is in there, so it's a bit of a problem. All in all, we have been pretty satisfied with this camera (it's certainly more than enough camera for my son), but I do wish we would have been able to purchase the Brave 7 when I was in the market for a budget-friendly action camera.

Durable, many attachments, great video/picture quality and reasonably priced!
I purchased this camera to document intermittent tech problems in my new vehicle. I'd take it to the dealer and they'd return it stating "no problems found" because they couldn't reproduce them. This worked out great, even though my vehicle still isn't fixed yet, but that's a dealer problem. At least I was able to prove I'm not crazy or making things up. This camera comes with many mounting attachments and it wasn't too difficult finding one that worked to secure it to my passenger side headrest. The image stabilization feature works well; the video/picture quality is great and there are lots of available settings. This is a durable little camera that's much cheaper (and probably just as good) as the well known, name brand alternative and will most likely suit your needs and come with everything you'll need, except the memory card. Also, it states in the instructions that the camera won't pick up sound when it's in the clear protective case that can be used under water, etc., but I found it did. Not great, but if what you're recording is loud enough (such as the music from my car stereo), it will. Just turn up the volume on the device you play the video on and it should suffice. I even accidentally hit the clear plastic protective case while it was opened, snapping off the back of it. I thought I'd broken a plastic part and would probably have to order another case. Then I realized it wasn't the plastic that broke. With a little patience (because of my large fingers) I was able to snap it back on. I'd definitely recommend this camera to anyone!

Great ride-cam, excellent value for the money!
Things I have used this camera for: 1. Ride cam for long bike rides 2. Overhead cam for online teaching (streaming) 3. Wide-angle streaming for online art modeling So far I have been exceptionally pleased with the Brave 6 Plus camera! As a ride-cam for long bike rides the battery life is excellent and the image stabilization definitely make the video more watchable! I did have to jury-rig a mount for the bike, as the included handlebar mount was too small in diameter to fit on my bike, and I noticed that as the ride wore on, the camera mount kept angling itself toward the ground. The camera also came in very handy while I was teaching an only prop-making demo and needed an overhead camera to show what my hands were doing. The streaming video quality of this camera is on par with the action quality, though it would help if the included USB cable was longer. The Brave 6 Plus comes with two batteries, which means you can always have one on hand, and you can either charge them with the charging station, or by plugging in the camera to a power source (also handy if you've used one of the included zip-ties to anchor the camera in the open-fronted mount and you don't want to cut the tie!). There are also a wide variety of mounts included in this package, though I'll be honest--I'm not sure how some of them are supposed to work! Overall, I am super-pleased with this purchase. While the accessories might leave something to be desired, the camera itself is an *excellent* value, and that's what I was spending my money on! If you're looking for a solid alternative to a more expensive action camera, I highly recommend it!

Nice Camera for Price!
I bought this camera for my boyfriend's birthday about a month ago. I searched for a long time and debated on getting a cheaper camera vs a go pro and if this would really work well under water. But we have both enjoyed using the AKASO Brave 6 Plus Native, especially for water sports and to swim with under water. The buttons and settings take a little while to get used to, especially when using the case under water since you have to open the case to change from photo to video in the settings or view any footage that's been taken. The app seems to work well and hook up to the camera nicely so far. The video quality comes out well under water and above water. Sometimes the video only records some of the sound and it can have issues with that, however the sound does seem to be clear and loud, works fine for basic purposes. The batteries work well, however there have been a couple times where the battery shows that it is still half full when the camera is turned on and then it goes right to low battery after a couple minutes and dies pretty fast once it is showing low battery. The attachments don't have the best directions explaining how to use them or put them together. So it is kind of difficult to figure out them out and what to do with them. Some of them don't look like they're made with the best quality. None seem to be the best option to use for swimming underwater or diving. I thought the stop watch would be nice to have, but since it is not waterproof, we have not used it yet. We haven’t had any problems getting the app to work as long as it’s connected to WiFi, but when we try and edit a video in the app the words are in Chinese and we can’t figure out how to get it in English. Also the app runs real slow while trying to edit a video. Overall I am pleased with the camera and would buy it again!

So Fun
This camera is fun. It didn't cost an arm and a leg, and I'm really happy with the footage. Be careful with the size of your resolution, though. The files can be gigantic. That is not particular to this camera, though. High resolution video takes up a lot of digital space. I take this camera everywhere with me. I don't worry about it breaking. I just use it. I can't say the same for the Canon 70D my friend is letting me use. The 70D seems complicated to me. I have trouble understanding the settings. I have trouble seeing the screen. I also worry all the time about breaking the 70D. I don't worry about the Akaso. I just use it...like a tool that is meant to be used. I also tried using my smartphone as my main camera. I have an app that lets me use the smartphone camera to a much fuller extent.....but I can't get it to work. I also don't want to break my smartphone. This Akaso, though. I throw it in the waterproof case and I just GO! For audio, I attach a Purple Panda lapel mic at my collar and hook it to a Sony IDC-UX560 that I put in my pocket. The free version of Davinci Resolve 17 syncs up the Sony audio with my Akaso video using the Akaso on camera audio. For Free. I did buy a lapel mic specific to the Akaso Brave 6 Plus, but I don't use it. I usually have the Akaso in the waterproof case, and there is no way to attach the lapel mic through the case. I have yet to try recording fast moving footage like cycling or running. I've heard the Akaso can't handle that. However, if you are stationary or just walking around in the sun, the rain, the mud, or the snow, I recommend this Akaso. There is stabilization, but it doesn't get rid of all the movement of walking. The picture is do good, though, I suppose a good video editing program could crop in to offer a "stabilized" edit. I did buy a chest strap for the Akaso. Last weekend, I strapped it over waders and waded into a water-filled paddy to pull Seri (Japanese Parsley). Excellent footage.

Review of AKASO Brave 6 Plus
First, I should explain that I tend to experiment with cameras and video equipment and use them for purposes for which they aren't intended. It is the same with the AKASO Brave 6 Plus. I purchased this device for capturing time-lapse and nature videos primarily. Certainly there are times when I'll use is it as an action camera. It came supplied with a plethora of mounting attachments that should allow it to be placed about anywhere. I have used it to record a 45 minute round trip on the highway and was delighted with the results. Once tested as an action camera, I set it up to record the action at a birdbath and caught some very interesting video, then I tested the photo capabilities. It did well but I was soon convinced that one would be just as well off by capturing video then extracting a frame from said video if a photo is necessary. I have included a short video of falling leaves, cropped from the larger format. Other than upping the saturation for my own purposes and resizing that video, no other manipulation was done. PROS: 1. Many features that I have yet to explore. - It's a PRO to me. 2. With good lighting it easily produces video as good as my DSLR. 3. The infinite-focus lens works well from around two inches to infinity. 4. The charger allows charging two batteries via USB. You'll need the spare. CONS: 1. Use of the AKASO Brave 6 Plus as a photo camera proved not to be useful for me as a photo is not taken instantaneously when the button is pressed. The shortest time available on AUTO is one second. Thus as stated previously, it's better to be capturing video and extracting frames as necessary. My Problems: As a PC user and an avowed cell-phone non-user (phones are for talking) I was confused by the user manual regarding the APP and discovered that even with an Android emulator on the PC, usage would be a non-starter for my purposes in transferring photos and videos. Searches on the internet showed that I was not the only person confused about this. The only other option listed in the PDF Manual is to pull the micro-sd card and use an adapter to transfer the captures. Notably not mentioned, is that upon plugging the AKASO Brave 6 Plus into a USB port, the Brave 6 turns on, does sd card preparation, then displays a screen where one can select charging, USB connection, or PC camera. Sadly I was looking at my PC instead of the back of the Brave 6 for a connection. Finally I overcame my lack of knowledge and was delighted to learn that I could transfer files directly to the PC via USB. I've included a screen shot of the touch-screen options Suggestion to AKASO: It would be most helpful to have a PC specific application for the WiFi connection. Other than these observations I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Great Camera at a great price!
Well packed and quick delivery! I've been on the fence for both the brave 7 LE and the brave 6 plus, so glad I got the 6 plus instead! The colours and the video quality is great! No regrets!
