If you have not seen this...I need to ask your excuse!
I cannot grovel enough like in the holy grail, but Steve Coogan, and I must research more on the credits...go see this immediately. No, I have no feedback, until it has been memorized, along with the Roachford opening commute, the rhythm track, anything Lyn does, all 3 Jason references, and how did Alan fall asleep watching his mate beg for help while duct taped...please give Norfolk Digital or Shape the credit it deserves! Then watch everything Steve Coogan has ever done.

A Lot of Fun
I really enjoyed this movie, and one particular aspect aside (fortunately), it was a LOT more like my experience several years working in commercial radio than my beloved WKRP in Cincinnati ever was. This movie is funny and very entertaining. There is one tiny part that is different from the rest of the movie, but is my favorite. It is such good contrast. Pay particular attention to the main character while he is driving to work.

Lovely film. Only wish there was more Partridge to go around/that it wasn't content-locked to UK!
What a truly wonderful romp. The shotgun gag gave me nightmares, but the rest was perfect, and I'm so happy to see Colm Meaney in just about anything. The ending with its multiple fakeouts was and will always be almost perfect in its execution, and there really is nothing like the scene where they escape and are broadcasting mobile. If you're not familiar with Alan Partridge, he's kind of a "forced meme" personified. He keeps getting new shows and movies mostly because people want him to, and they follow his life as he makes tumbles and turns through broadcasting media, as an overconfident twit you love to see in denial about his own irrelevance. The closest American character I can think of is Jack Donaghy from 30 Rock. If you love seeing white men lampooning white men, this is about as good as it gets.

Funny work for anglophiles like me!
Excellent comedy; as often, the British version is dry and for high-IQ audiences. Most of the humor depends on class conflict. If you don't understand why something is in bad taste and repeat platitudes like 'different strokes for different folks' or some such nonsense, this is not for you. Although anyone would find the tupperwear box of feces being treated like a bomb hilarious.

If you like Shaun of the Dead. or Hot Fuzz, you'll enjoy this movie.
Going into it, I'd thought it'd be just another British comedy based around a nonsensical situation, yet it does that point to another level; Slapstick British comedy, in it's purest form, where the jokes aren't so obviously setup for modern appeasement.Every scene is worth watching again, because it has subtle notes of comedy that might not be apparent through the first watch through.

It's funny
I don't watch that many Brit movies so it took me a little while to get into the rhythm of it, but then I enjoyed it.

amusing running around
sort of a cross between Ricky Gervais and Chevy Chase. In any case, fun to watch this self-centered egomaniac run around and interacting with people in a ludicrous way. amusing character, with some amusing situations.

Hasn't aged well as a comedy.
I remember this being funnier when I saw it in the theater. I rented it and was fairly disappointed. It just hasn't aged well... unlike other comedies such as "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels", which is still brutally hysterical.
