Purchased two oriental temple jars that I converted to lamps. On the surface of removable top sat a crouching lion that I removed using these cutting wheels to reveal the area where the 1/2' hole for the 3/8 IP Light threaded Pipe would penetrate. Used 10 wheels per lion, all went well.

You do get what you pay for with diamond bits. I was a contractor for many years in the tile business. I was installing a microwave in the kitchen and the opening in the granite back splash was too tight. The saw style blade was what I wanted to use but, quickly became useless as the diamond surface wore off quickly. On the other hand the barrel style bit did the job and removed the 3/32 cut I needed to fit the microwave. Gets 4 stars because I was hoping for more but some bits wore out too quick. They may be more effective on other softer materials.
