Tangkula 46 Gallon Acacia Wood Deck Box, Garden Backyard Storage Bench, Outdoor Storage Container for Patio Furniture Cushions and Gardening Tools (Natural)

It didn't quite fit the all the new chair cushions (oddly enough, the reviewers of the cushions said they weren't puffy enough) but there were 8 (2 each for 3 rockers and 2 for adirondack chairs), so I decided to buy another one for more room, and to keep the hot tub stuff right by the tub. I can't speak to the weather proof aspect, but nothing lasts forever. I'll probably just oil them to extend their lives. The box is sturdy and the wood is much nicer looking than the plastic. And it's definitely a good deal for the price.Assembly is easy till one gets to the lid, but I realized that I had to screw in the big hinge so that the small hinges would line up. A fair amount of cursing escaped my mouth before I figured it out, but all in all it wasn't too hard to assemble. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand. As with some of the other reviewers, I'm a woman in my late 60s and 4'10" on a good day. I was able to wrangle it and am even going to try and get it outside by myself, though that could be lots of fun to watch. I received it really quickly and everything was included. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase.

The bench/storage unit is a good value for the money. However the packaging is inadequate to be shipped from Vietnam.Two of the frame pieces were broken, due to the way the hinges are attached to the frame for shipping. The manufacturer should not attach these since only one end is attached and there is no allowance for the height of them as the attached portion is at a 90° angle to the frame sections. Any pressure near them will likely result in the same breaks mine has without an adequate spacer for the hinge height.But, it is a heavy box, and I do not see me dragging it to FedEx to return; and since I am handy I believe I can repair it properly and the repairs will not be seen because one is on the inside and the other will be under a cushion we bought for it. I injected high strength glue, then clamp each broken piece and let them set for 24 hours. A light sanding and the cracks are not visible.I was going to send it back, but every time I lifted it to try and get it in the car, it never happened, since I imagined me trying to wrestle it in and out of the car.All of that said, it goes well with our teak patio furniture once I used teak oil on it and it holds our cushions so I just have to wait for a heavy rain to see if the cushions stay dry.

Item arrived on time. The item is a well engineered kit with closely / accurately fitting parts. Easy to assemble in approx. 1/2 hour. Looks very nice and professional when properly assembled. Rugged and will support a very fair amount of weight. **Well worth the money.

The media could not be loaded. The bottom is open throughout intentionally. This wasn’t apparent in the product photos.Also the lid stays open, but when you begin to close it, it slams shut — not ideal for kids. I don’t know if the hinges are supposed to stop that.One of the hinges arrived damaged so IDK. Otherwise, the wood and color is nice.

This is a solid piece. But do need two people to help the assembling. Love the natural color which matches my recent purchased patio furniture. Love that it’s got venting all around, makes a perfect outdoor storage and sitting space. It’s still worth the money. Not sure if this is waterproof. But I would definitely want to add an additional coating just to help increase the durability.

Arrived in good time and was not too heavy to move inside by myself. Assembly is simple and from previous reviews I knew to not over tighten the screws. It was assembled in 45 minutes. I did most myself and had help with holding the lid while I screwed the hinges on. I put up photos of how it looks assembled and how it looks after a coat of tung oil is applied. I think the tung oil wakes the natural colors of the wood just enough and provides a layer of protection against sun and any rain that reaches it on the porch.This is not a tool box or a work bench or a place to sit while putting on shoes. It’s just a decorative box that can withstand outdoors elements. I expect it will last many years if not abused. I plan to put another coat of tung oil on it and then put it outside.

Bought this in November and took it out of the box in April to set up by our swimming pool. Material is so cheap and flimsy that it broke in the wind within 1 day of being set up. Completely unusable and not even close to worth the price point.
