Must-have board book for teach theology to children!
It’s no secret that we LOVE the Baby Believer books from Catechesis Books. (Check out the second picture and how well loved the books are. 🙈). The spine of First Bible Basics makes me cringe a bit, but then I focus on how many times little hands have been holding big Truths and how many times it’s sparked conversations about Jesus. These board books have helped my kids learn the Trinity, the 4 gospel writers, the 10 commandments, significant animals in the Bible, the days of creation, emotions and the days leading up to Resurrection Sunday, the I AMs of Jesus, and the 9 Fruit of the Spirit. These books have also introduced them to psalms and a posture of praise, the beatitudes, the Pentateuch, and the ministry of Jesus. The newest book, We Believe: An Alphabet Primer, focuses on teaching children the alphabet using major tenants of the Christian faith. It includes baptism, the Apostles’ Creed, Incarnation, and everlasting life to name a few. This book will teach little ones the alphabet from a Biblical worldview, introducing them to theology at a young age.Danielle does a wonderful job at choosing which words to highlight for each letter as well as the supportive Scripture, excerpts from the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed, and even some Greek terminology! Jessica brings those words to life through stunning illustrations. She beautifully captures the essence of each letter’s word and allows you to linger to study the pages with your kids. Some notable mentions from her illustrations for this book include:capturing the diversity of God’s people (for example: the C/D spread includes people of various ages, skin color, and physical abilities (i.e. a person using a wheelchair and another using a walking cane)dark skinned Jesusa white dove for the Holy Spirit on 2 different pagesThese books are seriously a must-have for anyone looking to teach their children about Jesus. They are board books, making them perfect for the littlest of learners, are not dumbed-down or fluffy in word or illustration, and teach well beyond the toddler years. They are the perfect gift for new moms, children’s birthdays, and Christmas.I’ll forever be thankful for the 2 women and their team who put out such incredible books! If you don’t know where to start with teaching your kids about Jesus and theology, look no further! These books are what👏🏻 you 👏🏻want!👏🏻

Theology for littles!
Book reviewAs a follower of Christ and mom of four, one of the largest duties I’ve been called to is to also teach my children about God. When I came across Catechesis Books and the Baby Believer Primers I was instantly drawn in. In typical fashion, the newest addition, “We Believe,” does not disappoint.I’m a sucker for beautifully illustrated books and the artwork is truly lovely. Each page spread is cohesive, the palette is well thought out, and the overall design of the book feels modern, yet timeless — something that’s pretty to display and fun and inviting to walk through with kids and adults.I was actually surprised by the content in the alphabet primer — but in the best way! When making your way through the alphabet you can expect rich theology and biblical truths, nothing is watered down because of the targeted age of the reader. What a fun way to introduce different languages and biblical concepts to a child that can later be investigated deeper by little minds that are then familiar with the words and ready to ask more questions!Gift this book to your family. Gift it to your friends. Gift it to your church. Five stars for sure.

A wonderful resource for building biblical literacy!
We love all of the Baby Believer board books but this one is especially good for our letter-learning three-year-old! It combines biblical vocabulary words with the alphabet, building upon what we learned in “First Bible Basics” with deeper Biblical concepts, excerpts from the Bible, well-known hymns and the creeds. Best of all, it has absolutely gorgeous illustrations that lead to deeper inquiry (Mama, why is there a bird for the Holy Spirit?) and help the concepts to stick in their minds.••As a bonus, it also follows the alphabet and will help with practicing letter recognition and promoting memorization.••These books are absolute masterpieces, and are such a joy to share with my children. I recommend them to everyone I know, and I wouldn’t share anything I didn’t absolutely LOVE without giving it some major thought. So, if your baby is growing into a toddler or you’ve got big kids at home, pick up a copy of “This We Believe!” It will definitely grow with your child, and it’s the perfect resource to spark a lifetime of Biblical literacy.

Amazing!
When I first opened the book I saw the “Catholic Church” page and on first glance thought oh no it’s a catholic book! But then I looked down and they explain that catholic means universal. This book is amazing and I have several from her collection. It’s so important to educate our children about the Lord immediately, even as a baby, they retain more than we think. I love this!

Educational, affordable, and adorable!
I ordered this book for my dear friend's baby shower. I have never ordered from this company before so I did not know what to expect. After receiving the book, I was very satisfied with my purchase. The book is heavy duty, very educational, and the graphics were pleasing to the eye. The book would be appropriate for young children if they are being read to, or for older children to read on their own, as some of the words are complex. Overall, I am very pleased and would order again.

Adding The Gospel to Everyday Learning
We LOVE the Baby Believers book series, and this is by far our favorite yet! My 2 and a half year old loves pointing out the letters (yay, letter recognition) while we talk about different aspects of theology (hello, apostles creed!). Seriously, such a great way to incorporate such great theology into our everyday learning routine, while not watering down the theology at all. The artwork is absolutely beautiful and adds so much to the concepts! My 6 month old loves the colors and art as well. This book has been used EVERYDAY by our family. My 2 year old even packed it when we went on vacation! This is a great investment and will be used for years by our family!

If you can afford it, buy it!
I have other books in the baby believer series and they're all of excellent quality. This primer is not just for 0-4 as recommended but was a good read for the adults as well! It's a good homeschooling resource for Bible study.
