Nice little book with 80 familiar children's songs & chords needed to play them. Picture of chords shown at top of page, chords listed with words only, no music. Works for me since I am self taught & can't read music. Wish there was a picture of the chord to play, each time you play it. Grankids got a kick out of me playing songs they know!

What I really love about this book is the selection of songs.The selection includes lots of stuff that adults would enjoy singing and playing for kids - traditional American folk, folk, folk rock, cowboy songs, funny songs, theme songs, learning songs, religious songs, a couple of classic rock songs, and some songs that only a kid could love.Each song is supported lyrics and chord diagrams. plus enough music of the melody to get you started - if you read music. If you don't read music, don't worry as most of the melodies are very familiar.

Bought this for my son to get back to his guitar playing since he has a new baby. I think he likes it but with new baby not a whole lot of leisure time. Very nice array of songs.

This music book has a lot of great music in it but it is in a small format. Expect to use some clamps or something to hold it open if you want to put it on your music stand.

I have other guitar books from Hal Leonard and they are good. This one is not. OK, I can deal with the small size. I feel bamboozled. I didn't understand the heading on the front that said, "guitar chord songbook" because that's all it is. Just the lyrics (and some songs seem incomplete) and the chords. They show the notes for just the first line of the lyrics, not the whole song. This is useless. If you already know the song then it can be useful for using this book in the key that is used, other than that if you don't know the song it's useless. I may be returning this. On the website it said something to the effect that this is a sample. That was misleading. It was an actual example of what you were getting.

Love it. So many songs I’d forgotten about. My son-in-law will play these for our new grand baby.
