Entertaining but strange
These stories make a nice change from the usual David Walliams (silly and irritating) and Mog (kids love them but the cat's voice is pretty creepy) but the subject matter of some of the stories is a little questionable. Divorce, kidnapping, ransom plots... my kids don't seem too damaged by them and they have enough adult jokes hidden in them to keep me interested, but I have occasionally had to shake my head in shock at something that is said. If you're particularly sensitive about what your children listen to then maybe not for you.

Care needed on used sales.
When the ad said 'minor damage' to the outer; and maybe it's just me, but I wasn't able xpecting both a cracked case and water damaged inlay. That to me would be better described in slightly more detailed wording? Surely?

Easy listening.
The stories are good, simple language. Alexander Armstrong has a pleasant voice and comfortable way of reading.

Great for the car
Audio books in the car are a lifesaver on long journeys. The kids sit mesmerised by these stories eventhough they have read them several times. Entertaining and never boring these stories are a hit.
