Got for granchild for xmas......She loves it

Thought this was a bit expensive but my grandson loved it so it was worth it. The only downside was the numbers were stickers and as it was taken out of the bag one came off. As the numbers signify the notes it would be better if they were etched or painted on

After searching for a while for a Happi Drum (steel-tongued drum) I was really pleased to be able to find this at an affordable price (£24.99), unlike many which were £70+.I am a Music Leader and have used these in my work before so decided to get my own. This one is tuned to the pentatonic scale (notes 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 1 of the major scale), which adds to the dreamy sound it makes. The stickers on it which tell you the notes have come off in the heat, but spares are provided - this is not a concern for me anyway. The sound quality is really good and each pitch is clear. The instrument is also very robust, having been dropped by clients many times (although this was onto carpet).It also comes with a book of tunes to play - unfortunately, it is not possible to play them all on the instrument due to the tuning; instead, it gives pitches of the major scale so includes pieces with notes 4 and 7 for example.

The media could not be loaded.  This drum is so much better than expected. I just brought for the calming tones for me and my daughter and I love !

This little Tongue Drum looks very nice, well made and sounds great. However, the numbers on the tongues do not correspond to the positions in the instruction book. Therefore, none of the tunes in the book sound correct.The numbers, on the tongues cannot be removed, except by scratching them off which would spoil to look of the drum.After reading the reviews I would have expected something a little better.

I liked the drum. It came with a little song book which was easy to follow. It ideally would make a kids gift. Great quality for the money paid.

n excellent little drum, I wanted a inexpensive one as I've never had one before, but wasnt disappointed. Firstly it arrived a month early all the way from Shenzhen! Beautiful colour, with a metallic yellow/brown finish. The sound is great, in tune. D major scale, sounding ethereal like it says. A nice size not too small so has some nice ranges in tone. It sits well with my other drums and bowls. Defo recommend this seller.

A little small with a timny sound but I think the sound will improve as it is broken in.
