BESTBAIT Preserved Salted Whole Bait Shad 2 1/2-4" length. 2 lb bag

Bought these and tried them at the lake. Didn’t catch a darn thing. I couldn’t use live bait at this lake. The week before I saw a guy using dead minnows and he had a bite on every cast. I couldn’t locate minnows in my area so I tried these. Waste of money. They were no where close to fresh/frozen bait.

The Last thing anyone wants is to order bait and it be unusable when they receive it. I ordered this product extremely close to the holiday and was contacted to inform me it would be after the holiday to ship due to the shipping company potentially holding the product for too long and rendering it useless. I didn't even consider that possibility when ordering. When it was received it was exactly as described. Excellent product and excellent customer service!

So this was exactly what I ordered. But it was just a giant ziploc plastic bag of soupy fish, which is not quite what I was after. I had been hoping for slightly more preserved, much less watery fish. Maybe the problem was the amount I ordered and maybe smaller batches are better; I dont know. If I had to guess, these were made from fish that died at a bait shop tank and were preserved/salted after the fact. If I was going to offer these, I would have killed them and immediately preserved, then packaged them specifically for this purpose. Not trying to be negative here, and maybe I just was hoping for something that doesnt exist.

Bait was a skeleton with skin dehydrated and hard no meat or guts waisted money and can't return product. Do not buy these

The shad are much smaller than I thought they would be. They have been dried and salted to help preserve them. Had trouble keeping them on the hook at times. They are probably good for only specific fish but these are not great for my intended species.

Arrived on time the ice pack wasn't froze anymore complete trash no need to be frozen because it's so preserved it doesn't work
