I’ve been using the Sprite filters in my handheld shower for years. Sometimes I forget to change it, but guess what? My hair tells me too.! Here in Florida where I live the water is just not “hair friendly“ when I change the filter and let it run for a while before I use it I do too or maybe three shampoos with Shampoo that is specific to my hair type, and then I use a good conditioner. My hair thanks Me. It’s shiny and bouncy, just like it used to be when I lived in New York.

- happy with purchase - per enclosed product instruction: lubricate the rubber rings on shower head ends with petroleum, such as Vaseline - chap stick works out just fine - recommended 3 months use - I do 6 months as I lather and rinse with tap water - then cool to cold water final rinse with Sprite cartridge hand held shower attachment - rinses off the tap water - a way to extend the cartridge life - once a month remove cartridge and turn/ flip cartridge ends to get maximum effect - nice to be able to save money any way you can - my skin is less dry and itchy using this product and hair is noticeably softer - very happy Amazon has these available for purchase - * after new cartridge install run water 5 minutes before first use - cold water is fine -

I've been using the Sprite shower system since the early 2000's. I've always had hard water where I've lived. I had great difficulty replacing the HH with a new filter, I just could NOT push it closed so I could lock it. I put oil at all connections, even on the filter ends. I put vaseline in same areas. I ran hot water in same areas. Nothing worked. I didn't have any silicone or WD-40 which I'm uncertain would have worked, and was way overdue replacing it. So I BOILED about 2 cups of water, poured it over same areas. FINALLY IT WORKED. This shower head system is just over 1 years old. I should NOT have had this trouble. I thought it was my hands/strength and it took me a couple of hours and wasted my time so I'm disappointed. I've come to the conclusion the filters might be slightly larger. OR the materials for the handle are disintegrating although they look fine. I'd like to know for sure what the issues was. Don't know if anyone else had this issue. If so, I hope this helps.

I didn't replace the Sprite filters after three months and after the fourth month, the flow got backed up a little. Working wonderfully since I changed the filter.

fits fine. can't tell if it's taking out chorine but figured it's better than nothing.

I've tried almost every shower filter under $50 & this one is the best. I use it with a handheld shower head - I attach the filter to the original water outlet then attach the shower head to the filter. Have been using it this way for several years. The water in my condo is mineral hard & rusty. It leaves an orange, dusty residue behind. My hair was dry & greasy & brassy.The Sprite HH-2 makes a noticeable difference. I live alone & shower every other day & I stretch a filter out for 12 weeks, flipping it after 6. I look forward to the 1st week of a new filter because it's most effective with higher water pressure. I guess they get clogged & kind of deplete the water pressure after a bit. I'd change it more often if I could afford to.A water softening system is my dream, but these will do just fine in the mean time.
