Works well,good compact size and quality

The media could not be loaded.  My new Koi betta wasn't eating the new pellets I got from Amazon. The pellets seem to have the healthiest ingredients, all natural betta fish foods, that I could find. Then, I realized that although the pellets are extremely small, they're still too big for him.I ordered the mortar and pestle just in case I needed to break up foods for him, and I needed it! As you can see, Iightly broke the pellet into smaller pieces, which he eats immediately.It's a good size and I like that it's unfinished on the inside of the mortar and the end of the pestle, so the pellets don't slide around.

I use it to crush up my cat wormer pill . So I can mix it in with his can food. It's perfect size.

I dunno much about mortar and pestles but this one seems like it was poorly made.Random bumps everywhere and the smooth finish? It's like those internet pictures of fast food burgers where only half of the cheese is in the burger and the other half is sticking out and melted to the bun.I haven't had the opportunity to try it out yet. If you don't see "update:...." Then that part worked out fine.

Product is sturdy and works for what it is, and is a cost effective price. It is not fully coated which is too bad but I clean it well. I have one at my other home which is agate and it cleans more easily and better. I would not gift it to anyone. For the cost it is ok.

It is a tiny mortar and pestle and I bought it to pulverize my Mameres meds for end of life care. She could no longer swallow pills or solids so I would crush them in this handy item and mix them in applesauce! She just passed a few days ago and I am going through her items. I had to write a review for this item as it was such a tiny, yet big, help in aiding her hospice days. I had also picked a "pill crusher" device not having experience in this type of care and never reached for it as this mortar and pestle so finely milled the meds I need not try anything else! It's affordable, durable,and quite handy! It fits in your hand easily so if you are needing big batches to mill - look elsewhere. Thank you for taking time to read my review! Only parts of the item are smooth it's like they only glazed some of it and didn't put it in a kiln. Don't recommend to anyone

I would prefer the inside to be glazed instead of rough.
