I had tried 3 different thermostats from the auto parts stores. Each one failed within a month. I tried this Stant thermostat in my 2006 Ram 2500 and it works faultlessly. In this case it pays to spend a dollar or two more and get a name brand. Awesome job Stant. Review: Top of the line, must have! - Seriously could not be happier. I have a 06 5.9 Cummins. My engine temps have dropped 30°. I recently replaced my water pump with the 7 vein 6.7 water pump. My temps went from 218° to 227°. I have always ran hotter I thought because of my tune. I have replaced my thermostat at least a dozen times. After I had several Mishimoto with issues I went with the generic Autozone, Oreiley thermostats. I ended up with a 180° Napa thermostat that seem to do the trick for the longest time. It wasn’t until I put this Stant thermostat in that I realized even the Napa one was not working correctly. My engine temp hasn’t gotten above 197° and usually runs around 190°.
