Product description Various Artists ~ Wow 2000 .com Wow 2000, a 30-song collection by contemporary Christian music's top artists, is the pick of the litter thus far. Since 1996, the Wow series has wooed and won a large youth-oriented audience, with each of the yearly discs going platinum in exponentially rapid time. Strongly committed to youth issues and preserving family safety and harmony, Wow products contribute a sales percentage to charity and Wow 2000's share goes toward four antiviolence organizations. Additionally, this year's discs are encoded with software that provides Internet access while screening out objectionable content. As for the music, Moms and Dads will have no quibbles. On the purple disc, Third Day and Caedmon's Call deliver country-inflected delights, tunes from Jennifer Knapp and Plumb beg for repeat plays, while Audio Adrenaline and the O.C. Supertones pump things up. The silver disc showcases favorites Jaci Velasquez, Rebecca St. James, and Sixpence None the Richer, who contribute their hit "Breathe." --Paige La Grone

Love and own ALL of the WOW collection
With this 2000 disk I now own every single WOW package from the very start: 1996 through 2015. It is an amazing collection of the biggest Christian songs of the last 20 years. Hard to believe it is 20 years. I am a Praise Band director/player, and a fan of this music, and having all of these discs on my MP3 player lets me introduce every important song to the group, plus I teach a course in Contemporary Christian music, and this is the definitive repertoire. What an inspiration, a variety! When I go on road trips I can randomize everything and it is awesome. Kudos and thanks to the WOW people for making this available. BTW when I find a song/band that I like I do also buy their discs- SUPPORT THE ARTISTS YOU LOVE by BUYING their music! These discs are just a window into the vast amount of wonderful Christian music that is out there!

Somewhat of a let down
First I want to say that this is the second time I've used the vendor "one good turn books" and they have been great! I've bought both cds used-like new and they both play perfectly. I also got them super quick even though I chose the standard shipping!Ok, now for the wow cd (actually it's two cds). I expected a much edgier approach and frankly both cds are quite mellow. With very few exceptions, all the songs sound about the same. The lyrics are all quite nice and meaningful but after a while the cds become boring. There are two songs: The Rumor Weed Song, and Cartoons that are boderline annoying. These two songs would serve best in a children's cd. I cannot see anyone over the age of 10 or 11 listening to them over and over again AND enjoying them!!The "faster" songs are not really fast and two songs: Always and Forever and Love Liberty Disco did not sound pleasant at all.Avalon, Jaci Velasques, Twila Paris do well.Memorable mention: I't All Right by Winans Phase2I would have wanted to know from previous purchasers just how mellow these two cds are.

great music
Enjoy listening to this type of music and this did not disappoint me. I'm starting to get quite a collection of worship music to choose from and this is a welcome addition.

Not a great cd
Some really good christian songs but over all not a really good cd. Mostly hard to listen to because the songs were not all the best of christian music for that year.
