Failed after 6 months
Worked fine for about 6 months, then started dropping hard drives connected through it from Windows explorer. Too late to return it, of course.

Works great for what I need it to do
I use this when I'm on the road with my ultrabook, which only has a single USB 2.0 and 3.0 port. I need it to allow me to plug in a USB Ethernet connection, remote pointer, and a USB thumbstick drive...and it does that with no issues. Would have given it 5 stars if it would have come with a carrying case for the power adapter, hub, and usb 3.0 cable.

Great Product for a great price
Has 3 USB 3.0 ports and 4 USB 20.0 ports. Allows me to connect all my USB peripherals to a single USB 3.0 port on my port replicator! Exactly what I was looking for.

Well, that was a let down.
I bought this item to supplement a computer with only two USB ports- it worked well initially, but about two weeks after purchase, the hub stopped working entirely except for one of the 3.0 ports. My wireless keyboard and mouse (which work perfectly attached directly to my computer) which once ran through the hub with ease simply stopped working. Not sure if this is just a sole case of my own, but it puts enough doubt to where I would suggest looking elsewhere for this type of product. Probably the first thing I've bought on Amazon that hasn't worked as advertised, and I just feel like an idiot for throwing away the box too hastily, as now I can't return this essentially $30 paperweight.Edit- after removing and re inserting the provided AC adapter about a dozen times, jiggling the on/off switch the same number of times, and re-inserting and removing all of my peripherals, I got the hub working again. Not quite unusable, just confusing and unreliable.

Not a very good hub and not recommended
The hub never worked good and was slow on my machine. The hub finally failed and would not act as a hub any longer. I replaced the hub with a much cheaper one from Wal Mart that didn't have a power supply and it works much better. I still need a hub similar to this one but not as substandard as this one. I needed it to run a DVD burner and some other electronic equipment that my laptop computer is not set up to operate. I need to find a much better hub for replacement.

Syba 7 Port USB Hub
I was accumulating a lot of USB devices and ran out of ports on my laptop, not to mention every time I wanted to move my laptop off my desk and use it elsewhere I had to unplug everything. I have another very cheap USB hub, but it would not really work with more than one thing plugged in. It seemed overwhelmed. This new one arrived and I put it to work using 5 of the 7 ports. At first it seemed to freak out trying to install a bunch of device software, but after that it worked very smoothly. All the devices had enough power to run and the hub itself transfers data at a high enough rate as to not really slow down or ignore any of the devices. It even has an on/off switch. I definitely recommend it to anyone.

Worked for 5 weeks and died
This unit worked OK until the 30 day return period expired, then stopped supporting all USB 3.0 outlets and any bi directional 2.0 device. So now it will connect a mouse or keyboard but not printers or hard drives- another brick/doorstop for the storage closet.
