Overall nice product has some difficulty growing at the top
These are pretty neat and the marketing/ product design is certainly very well done and extremely attractive. They do however as other users noted have some difficulty reaching Crystal growth up to the top of the trees. I'm not s sure maybe there is some sort of trick like moistening the tree beforehand or what have you in order to stimulate growth at the top

Stimulated some questions and conversation with a six year old.
Was better than expected. With a little guidance my son did all the set up, mixing, pouring, and watched it grow. He was especially fascinated with the card that gave Redwood and Sequoia trees size perspective.

Fun to watch
Not sure why the review asks about flavor??? While we did not taste test, this a very fun kid friendly activity. We have purchased several different types and always enjoy! Great gift idea!
