Comfortable
I've reordered these multiple times. I don't find them uncomfortable at all. I like that they are organic.

BEST TAMPONS EVER!
The best tampons I have ever used. They are very absorbent. I have had a reduction in heaviness during my menstrual cycle and cramping. I’m convinced other brands put stuff in them to stimulate bleeding?? Anyways, I’ll buy these forever!

My new #1 go to Tampon! So comfortable I barely know it's there!
Ever since I had kids and started getting more aware of all the toxins I put into my body I figured I'd give these a shot based on all the rave reviews and health benefits of this natural material and I'm happy I did because now I'm addicted! One regular will last me from 6am-way past the recommended 8 hour max! I ran out of these and tried going back to Tampax but quickly wound up re-ordering these on prime because of how comfortable and absorbent these are. I never thought I'd feel so passionate about a tampon! But these are amazing! I think my body rejects the chlorine and bleach found in normal tampons. These don't have any of those harsh cancer causing chemicals and I think my body knows it. The packaging scared me a little because it seemed like a cheap paper bag but I guess that's because they are trying to be "green" and use some kind of recycled material. Other than that, the package of three boxes will probably last me about 6 months. So while they might be a little pricey, in the long run I am saving money because I used to buy a box of multi size Tampex per month and now I'm good to go with a few of theses regular ones no matter what kind of day it is! Thank you for making a healthier version of this necessity!!! Must be made by a woman!

Love it. My favorite brand
After I learned the truth behind major mass market female hygiene product producers, I will never ever buy non organic cotton tampons ever again. This is a real shame that an industry that produces products of such intimate and personal nature is at the same time one of the most obscure and sinister. I'm sorry to be so graphic but to me it is the same thing as taking a spoonful of pesticides and putting it in your mouth and keeping it there for a couple of hours. Would you do that? Probably not. You know it's not safe. Same here. Don't put anything that is bad for you inside your body. You might be doing ok now, but there is a chance that those mass market tampons are affecting your body and you don't even know it. The cotton they use is sprayed with the worst chemicals you can imagine. Treat yourself well, treat this planet well, buy organic products whenever you can. Quality-wise there is no difference. I love this brand and works excellent for me.

How to use
So the problem with these is that when they are manufactured the cotton is pushed up too high into the tube. I believe when it hits some moisture it already starts to expand a little bit and then it can't be pushed out of the tube. What you can do is push the cotton back down into the tube a little bit. I do that against the inside of the paper wrapper just so it stays super clean. The top of the tube might look a little squished when you do this but that won't make a difference. After that, insert in the usual way and it will work just fine. Yes its a little inconvenient but its a healthier brand and I would feel terrible putting all that plastic into a landfill. I would rather accept a minor inconvenience.

Mostly Happy
I have used these exclusively for probably 3-4 years now. I am happy that they are an unscented organic product, however, there are a few downfalls. The string is thin and long, and it can be uncomfortable. Sorry to get graphic but when you pee and the string gets wet, it's noticeable because it's longer than your typical string, so you feel it. I would rather have a slightly thicker and shorter string. I think that would both feel better and be more efficient for removal. I feel that the absorbency is on/off. Sometimes I will put one in and it will leak, and when I pull it out its only about 25% used after just an hour or so, so that feels wasteful to me. Some have mentioned that they are hard to insert. I always press out about a centimeter of the tampon before I insert so that it doesn't get 'stuck'. These take some getting used to, but it's worth it not to put toxic chemicals into my body, so I continue to buy them.

Love!!
Ive used these and the Seventh Generation tampons and they are well worth the extra cost!I have read a lot of reviews and Ill address some of the issues other people have.Hard to unwrap: Read the wrapper!!!! it says "open this end ->" and if you open that end theres a little line that opens the wrapper very easily. And seriously its paper its not in a clamshell package.Hard to insert: Once open I give the end you push down and little push before hand. This seems to loosen it up and make it easy to push all the way down when you're inserting. Also if you have an issue with inserting try to relax. We have found if you're a little 'tense' its a little harder to insert. Not absorbing evenly: Youre not putting it in a cup of water. Your body sheds its lining unevenly so the left side may have more fluid at moments than the right. Also this article is great and has pictures of organic tampons vs conventional: [...]

Uncomfortable shape, too long, and not anatomical.
These are awful. They are too long, and the "push in cardboard " piece easily comes out when you are pulling the tampon out from the package, and you end up having to put it in by hand. At that point it becomes obvious, how uncomfortable the shape of these are. They are not rounded at the ends and they don't expand - they are just like a long ,rigid, stick. They don't open circularly like say, OB. I think I purchased these thinking I had liked them in the past, but I must have consfused them with another brand. Now, I am stuck with 3 boxes. I got regular thinking it would be ok., but maybe it would have been less bulky and clunky if it was 'light'. Regardless, I find them very uncomfortable and when I had a dryer day than expected, it was diffuclt and painful to pull out. It stuck to the inner skin and did not come out with ease. Never again. Out $20.
