Kaytee Cardinal Cake 1.85 lb

Sure enough a cardinal family showed up a week after offering this up. No complaints. I prefer these over the sticky suet type that uses beef fat to keep it together and minimal seeds. This is packed with seeds and held together with honey.

I thought I was getting the small package and this is a double decker the size of an iPad! The birds love it and yes the cardinals stop by too.

Don't try to fit these in the bargain bird feeders, they are massive cubes. But a good deal and my cardinals love them

These large seed cakes are perfect for my wire mesh holders and generally last for a week or so, depending on the squirl population. Everyone seems pleased.

I bought several of these not realizing they are huge! One will not fit in the average wire cage. It isn’t worth returning them to the company so I will have to cut them down. I thought about buying a fitting cage but the cost is high.

I love feeding the birds seed cakes are seed cylinders. There is little waste and birds all types seem to.

I bought this thinking it was a small block to replace the suet on the feeder. I tried to return it when I didn’t have a feeder this size, but it was non-returnable, so bought the right size feeder at Walmart, and all the birds (and squirrels) are happy!
