easy to operate and install
Just received this in the mail and attached it to the rail on my AR. Initial impressions: easy to operate and install, lightweight, compact, robust, and sturdy. I ordered the visible white/red light. In my house with all lights off the amount of light output was perfect. The red light has a low and high setting, which would probably be good for low profile navigation. The white light is a fixed high setting and was brighter than expected, it lit up everything it was pointed at. Its not going to blind anyone but it seemed perfect for illuminating small areas at short to medium distances. I could not see it being excellent at illuminating large areas or vast distances, but that's not what its meant for. This is an excellent little light that will serve as a low-profile/low-vis option and/or as a backup to my main weaponlight.Only problem I see currently is that there is a shadow of my barrel in the light cast by this device. However, this isn't the light's fault. My rail is ~12" and my barrel is ~16". If my rail length was closer to my barrel length the shadow would be eliminated. Even so, the shadow only takes up about 15% of the light's beam. I plan on getting a 14" Fortis Rev rail to help with the shadow effect on this light and my surefire light, reduce weight and to improve overall tacticool-ness(duh).Excited to run this light next time I shoot!

Great light, but
This light is great, works as intended and is very low profile although after a critical look into it, the light seems very impractical to own. A situation where you need very low light is probably rare. but it sure does look cool to have. The reason I still give it a 5 is because its purpose is better suited for a helmet light.

Good for inside rooms
It was never designed for a combat light. This is meant for room clearing and small close tasks. It will like up a room well enough to engage targets. It super small and light weight I got it for my AR pistol for inside the house it does fine there but I would not bring this outside and use. A clear night with half a moon will give better light

Great Mini Option
I like my rifles to stay as lightweight as possible, so I chose this light over a bulkier, more traditional weapon light.Pros:-Very light! Weighs basically nothing.-Solidly made-Small and flat, so it doesn't hang up on stuff.-Pad is easy to access with thumb or finger for quick on and off switching.Cons:-Not the brightest light, though it does fine indoors and around the yard... not going to incapacitate an adversary, but will let you find your way back to the truck if you're out hunting after dark for sure.-VERY tight on the picatinny rail. I tried a couple different rail sections, and both were almost impossible to mount the light on without a little sanding and greasing of the mounting grooves on the light. This is fine I guess since it certainly wont come loose with shooting, but it was a pain to mount and took some time and careful modification. YMMV.-I wish White came on before Red. I know this is to save your eyesight in the dark, but I'd prefer to have a white light first. Also, I wish this had a momentary switch, but that's fine, especially for the price, which is low.Overall a great light for those of us who just want something for being out in the dark before or after the hunt or for basic home security. If you're going into some sort of combat zone, you'll likely want something else.

Lights up the night without waking the neighborhood.
This light is perfect for my needs. The red light has 2 settings and the white led light is very bright. I was reading other reviews about this light and I'm glad I bought it. 10 lumen is very bright and I don't understand the need for more than that unless you live in a void. Will blind adversary if pointed directly at face. This is my primary light and it takes major weight off the end of my tool.

PERFECT Light levels for working inside
PERFECT Light levels for working inside, or outside where you just need to see where to walk, with low level red LED.Worth the money, and uses a reasonably priced coin cell (x2). I like it for my KelTec Sub 2000 and it will also be usedon an AR occasionally. Excellent for a scout style patrol weapon or the like, when you want to see but reduce chanceof being seen! I can see myself buying this for other guns! Mine is BLACTICAL :D Photos Coming!
