Beautiful ink, beautiful color
I got this in Sakuramori and it's one of the most beautiful inks I own. It's a slightly purplish pink that shades well without making readability difficult. The bottle is also very pretty.

Sailor Shikiori Yamadori: Similar to Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku...but with a TON more sheen
This is my 2nd Sailor ink. My first was Okayama, which is a deep magenta with a green sheen Yamadori is a blue-green teal color with a strong burgundy sheen. In terms of a color profile, it is very close to Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku; but where Ku-jaku shades more, yamadori has more sheen (see photos for comparisons)You don’t see that sheen immediately. What you see on the page initially is just a medium teal with some dark undertones, which almost look black to the naked eye. But when the light hits it a certain way—all of sudden you realize that all that shadowy darkness is hiding a dark red sheen (burgundy?)I used an FPR Himalaya V1 EF Ultraflex and a Pilot Plumix (medium steel, not cursive) for the sampling and I really like how this ink looks and behaves (dries really fast). It’s a really compelling color profile. Again, that sheen is impressive. I’m a huge fan of medium to dark teal inks and this is one of the best.Note on images: it’s a very gloomy day so not great for vibrant photos. For the image gallery, I alternated between naturally lit photos and some with a flash to bring out the sheen. One other side note: There is a distinctive smell to this ink. Some have complained about it, but as a Scotch whisky drinker, I can say that the scent is VERY similar to Laphroaig Scotch Whisky; a strong medicinal scent or you could even describe it as throwing gasoline on a campfire. I think someone once described the smell of Laphroaig as a “Burning Hospital” LOL. Regardless, yamadori does have a distinctive scent that might not be palatable to some folks.Overall: I really like this ink. It does well in a medium to broad nib, so you can see the full sheen on this thing.I will say, though...the price per ML is a bit high. You can get a 50 ML bottle of Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku for about $17 here on Amazon. This 20ML bottle of Yamadori costs anywhere from $12-15. For an ink with a similar color profile, you way want to go with a Ku-Jaku. But if you desperately want that sheen...then you'll have to spend a little extra for it.

Quality ink
Nice color and saturated ink. Still cringe at the cost for 20 ml.

my favourite ink and great colour!
I have tried other inks but find that I keep coming back to Sailor. I really like this one. Normally I would get at my local pen shoppe but they were out with no idea of getting more. This was no hassle and the quality is amazing!

Gorgeous
Beautiful black-green ink with a hint of dimension on the paper, which I really like. Kind of wet, but no bleed-through on Clairefontain or Rhodia. Takes a minute to dry past the smudge stage.

Beautiful color, well-behaved, subtle sheen
Somewhere I read that this ink was exactly the same color as Emeraude de Chivor, minus the shimmer. I guess that set some slightly weird expectations, and it's not really true.Yamadori is in fact much more blue than Emeraude de Chivor. Both are absolutely beautiful inks, but this is not the same thing. From a sheen perspective, Emeraude de Chivor has a much stronger and more intense red sheen. I do most of my writing using an F tip, on Rhodia paper. Emeraude de Chivor's red sheen will pop bright red even with the F tip. Yamadori, on the other hand, doesn't sheen quite so easily. Its sheen is also significantly darker, so it's a more subtle thing. That may be good or bad depending on your use case. What you get in exchange for the lower sheen is a super well-behaved ink. Dry time of maybe 5-10 seconds, as compared to sometimes 30-40 with Emeraude de Chivor. I've covered maybe 10 notebook pages at this point, and I noticed zero smudging and no ink spots on my hands. No way I would have gotten so lucky with Emeraude de Chivor. One weird aspect of Yamadori is that it has a slight aroma. I don't find it to be offensive in any way, but I notice it. It's tough to describe, but vaguely medicinal, maybe. Kind of weird -- none of the other inks in my collection have a smell like that. All in all this is a great choice for a slightly more interesting daily ink. I'm very happy to have purchased it and look forward to filling many more pages without getting my hands covered in ink.

It's ink, and it's nice. Smells a little funny.
The media could not be loaded. I like the color. I noticed some other folks posted photos where there was a sheen/ dimension to the color, but I don't see it. Maybe it's because I only write under warm white light bulbs. But I haven't noticed it at all. It also bleeds a bit through, whereas the Pilot inks I have no matter how broad the nib, never bled. Just something to be wary of.

Silky smooth ink
Very smooth writing when using this ink. No drag at all. My favorite writing ink.
