Runs small, amazing sound!
I'm an amateur tap dancer, I've been tap dancing about 1 year now.I had bought a pair of Theatrical tap shoes for my first pair and straight off the bat you can tell they're cheap. I was waiting for my birthday to roll around so I could get these. They were so worth the wait! The quality of the sound of the shoe is amazing! The are very comfy, I dont wear socks with mine because they're so soft and supportive.I was worried about the heel giving me blisters but it doesn't!Before buying, my mom read reviews for the shoe and how it runs small.I wear a street shoe of 7.5, she had to purchase an 8.5 and they fit like a glove.10/10 Worth the price!

Tap with caution… or get a rasp
The fit is great. The look is perfect. These are much more easy to break in than we were warned. The taps are SHARP. Like we had to get out a rasp and file the edges because they dig in and catch on the floor, which makes tapping difficult, I’m told. Strange, because none of the other Bloch tap shoes are like this, just the Leos. So, while not perfect, the best wingtip tap shoe price and definitely worth what we paid for them.

sizes are all over the place
I am a dance teacher and have already owned these(and LOVED them). Problem is: I typically wear a 6, but purchased a 7 at our local dance store, since they didn't have my size and I REALLY wanted them. However, once they wore in a bit, I was finding they were too big and difficult to tap in because of that. I purchased a 6 on line (on ebay)....the description did say to order a size up because they run small, but because I already owned a 'size up' and they were too big, I stuck with the 6. However, I couldn't even get 1/2 my foot inside it. It was more like a 4. I sent them back & thought maybe they were 'knock offs' and ordered a size 6 from Amazon instead. I was able to fit my feet in those size 6, but had to really squeeze...and no way I could dance in them. So, I returned those as well. At this point, I don't dare order another pair/size, which is a bummer b/c I have always been really happy with my Leo's.

Fun shoes!
I treated myself to a new pair of taps after the first year of formal tap class. I chose the Leo's due to reviews, price and the look of the shoe. After dancing in them for several hours, I've been happy with them, however, a tiny bit more room in the front of the shoe would be helpful for my foot. The front of the shoe runs a bit narrow so if you have bunyons beware. I chose not to get a wide size as my foot would have probably slipped out while dancing. If I was in a store, I would have tried an 8.5 to see the difference. I wear an 8 women's street shoe but due to the narrow front end of the shoe it may have given me a bit more room. I considered returning them but was eager to try them so I kept them :)

Runs small/strong smell
The shoe has a very strong chemical smell. It doesn’t smell like leather and it is quite pungent. The shoe also runs small. We were fortunate enough to find a store where we could try the shoe on but not buy it, so we knew exactly what size to order. Had we not done that we definitely would have had to send the shoe back for a different size. Unfortunately the sound of the tap is quite flat. It might be that we are used to the sound of teletones but it’s got a “thud” quality to it rather than a sharp and clean sound.

Took forever to break in. Size up
After reading all the reviews, I sized up. They still were tight and gave me the worst blisters. I wore them for about half the tap classes I teach per week. Finally, they are comfortable. I do love the sounds they make. For reference I ordered a half size up from my street shoe. Once broken in they are a great fit. I do have narrow feet.

Check those screws for the taps
We buy this particular brand since it’s part of required shoes for my kids’ dance studio. So far this is the only one where the screws on one shoe fell off. and we’ve bought this brand from dance stores at least once or twice a year for the last 5 years. Otherwise, the shoes look great, as long as the screws don’t come off in the middle of class

TAP
Shoes ran small. Returned original, got next 1/2 size larger.Replacement arrived and shoes did not have laces. First order came with laces - returned with the shoes. Need to check things better before shipping.

Love these shoes
Love these shoes! I have been dancer for 33 years and a Tap Dance instructor for more then 20 years , these shoes will be great for long teaching hours. A little snug across the top when I first put them on but within an hour they were all broken in and ready for classes. The Taps are not as clear as a tele-tone tap, however, if you have been dancing long enough then you know how to clear up tap sounds on basic taps as well. They look great on as well and I know my students will all want a pair when they see mine. Fantastic product!!
