Worked Perfectly, eay to set up!
does what it is supposed to do and functioned flawlessly with my MKS Gen L board!

Terrible unless you know exactly what you doing
I am no engineer and I bought this to play around with Raspberry Pi and a stepper motor. Unfortunately the documentation is EXTREMELY limited and doesn't explain anything at all. VERY poorly supported

Maybe I was unlucky
TL:DR Could not get it working. If you want to get it working you will have to work with the manufacturer on Alibaba, unfortunately I didn't have time to.I was using a MKS Gen L v1.2. The step timings appeared to be wrong as the motor shaft would shake when asked to turn. The holding power of it was decent, but I needed a driver that could move the motor at 24V. Did not have time to fuss with reading the output on an osiloscope or soldering onto the diag pin. Tried two drivers, same behavior. Tried the external driver port and the headers where the regular drivers went, same behavior. Tried another axis, same behavior. Tried flashing Marlin with the driver as tmc 2160, tmc 2160 standalone, tmc 5160, tmc5160 standalone, a4988. All with the same result, shaking back and forth, holding when asked to hold for a few seconds then letting go. Maybe I thought CLK should go to CLK pin instead of STEP as documentation indicated, then the shaking was random instead of when I asked for motion. Then I thought wiring was bad so I re-made the wiring 3 times and tried 3 different motors. I tried two different grounds. Then I thought maybe one of the DIP settings I used was not functioning properly, so I tried every combination of DIP settings. This is when I decided I was wasting too much time. If you want to use these go to Alibaba and message Makerbase first to ask for suggested configuration. Otherwise stay away.

best upgrade
super quiet, works great, I should have upgraded to this alot Sooner, more powerful than the tb6600 using same amperage.
