Perfect for kids
I own a bigger kayak for me, and after seeing my 6 year struggle to paddle that one; I bought the Lifetime Youth Wave kayak for her and she loves it. It also came with a more appropriate sized paddle and is perfect for her (now age 7). She is able to easily drag this one off the sand dune and into the water and launch it safely herself even in waves. It tracks well and is stable enough to be safe and tipsy enough to be fun. It can even float me (180 lbs) but sinks too low to be rowed safely for more than a few yards. The 130 lb rating is probably accurate, so a petite adult women might be fine with this. The shape of the stern allows kids to pull up onto the back or use it like a kick board. The price seems to move around frequently and varies with color so you might consider different colors (I saved money by getting the green one). It came packaged only in a plastic bag, but I don't really understand why this bothers other reviewers. The first thing you do with it is drag it over a rocky beach to launch it and then when you return from paddling you go fast as you can and run it up on the sand so you can step out on land. Yes, it is going to get scratched on the bottom, but it will be fine as it seems to be built to take it. One final note, I managed to lose the rubber plug in the bow drain hole after a few weeks of use (right next to the little T-handle). I don't know how or where and did not notice any change in performance. There was a little water inside the kayak after a day of use that I drained out by turning the kayak on end. Anyway I called Lifetime and they quickly took down my address and sent a replacement plug off to me; no charge and no questions asked; so I would think if you had a real issue they would be there for you. I think you really can't beat this product for the price and see myself probably buying another next summer for the other kid and cousins to use.

Absolutely love these kids' kayaks
We have now ordered two of these kayaks for our 5 and 7 year olds. They are even better than we expected -- very much worth the price. I am glad that the paddle (the right size for kids) comes with it. We can haul them easily in our van. We have used them locally on a lake, then the kids took them on a day-long canoe trip north of where we live, and we have also used them during a family vacation to wester Maryland, where we had a room on a lake. In the summer, when the water is warm, the kids love jumping off of them, then climbing back on. The boats are extremely stable.

Perfect gift for our 7 year old grandson!
This was a birthday present for our 7 year old - he LOVED it! he's about 4 1/2 ' tall, he fit in it perfectly, with room to grow. It's light enough where he could carry it himself. It's great for our lake - don't know how it would do in ocean current/waves. The orange color was exactly as pictured on the website

YOUTH KAYAKS....WORTH THE PRICE
i purchased 4 of these kayaks for my 4 grandchildren (ages 5, 6, 7 9) and they all had a wonderful time using them. We "practiced" using the kayaks in the swimming pool so they would be comfortable using them before we took them out on the bay.....no issues at all. Highly recommend the youth kayaks....great way to have fun while getting in alot of good exercise.

best buy
Our youngest grandson is much younger then his brother & sister, so when they visited us on the cape he always felt left out when the went out on the pond in our kayaks or had to double up with someone. This was the perfect size for him and the enjoyment on his face insured us we made the right decision

Overpriced paper weight
I purchased three of these kayaks from different sellers. This one came with a crack in the back. I contacted the seller and they offered to refund if I paid shipping to send it back. Well I wanted to exchange it. I have 3 kids and needed 3 kayaks. So I looked up the price and the kayaks are now selling at almost twice the price I originally paid. And on top of that I would have to pay shipping to return this. So disappointed. The other 2 kayaks are amazing and my kids love them. This one just sinks when you put it in the water. Just very frustrating that someone would ship out a boat that doesn’t float🤦🏻♀️

Mima Makes Points with the Grandkids!
I bought this kayak for my Grandkids (ages 4 and 6). The quality is excellent, and the price included the paddle and the hand grip on the front of the kayak. The paddle is great for the six year old, a little long for the four year old. They tried it out in the swimming pool and had a great time with it. It's very stable. They can even stand on it, and jump off without tipping. We're taking it up to our cabin in the Sierra's and will be using it at Pinecrest Lake. I plan on adding a "tow" handle to my kayak so I can tow the "Wave" in case the kids get tired!

Durable
Our beat purchase for summer entertainment. Super durable ( my kids drag then to the car and they are still fine). My 6 year old has a little trouble because his arms just aren't long enough so we tie him behind our kayaks and pull him. The kids love how they can stand up and jump into the water and it's super easy for them to get back on. We bought 3. Not a single issue!
