when you're working with insects, it's the little things ...
The center strip of wood in this board bows down when pinned making other work on the board move. This is quite frustrating when you have multiple specimens pinned in position. Also, the sides, while adjustable, are set at different heights and angles so that the wing spread is asymmetrical and difficult to work with. Also, the wood is quite hard making it a pain to pin into. I would not recommend this product.

Unsatisfactory.
The central slot takes pins nicely through balsa wood, but pins do not go well onto the boards where one needs to pin strips to hold the wings in place.

My daughter is going to school to be an entomologist and she was very excited to get this wonderful product
