Uncle Milton Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Grow and Glow Groot – Baby Groot Flower Pot

We bought this for my son for Christmas almost two years ago. He stuck it in his closet (I don't think he was all that interested in it at first since it was a plant) then he forgot all about it. Recently, he found it and we planted the seeds. I was certain that the seeds wouldn't sprout since they are over two years old. But to our delight, just a couple days later, we have lots of green spouts coming up from the soil. Each day, my son was amazed how much they grew since the day before. He loves it!! The little green bean sprouts are just about tall enough to wrap around the Groot figure. So cute!!! I also really like the size of the little pot, it rests nicely on my son's windowsill so the plant can get sunlight. WE live in the Pacific Northwest, so I am especially impressed that the seeds sprouted during the dark days of fall!! Great gift for many ages!! WE love it!!!!!

I bought this for myself just after Christmas, but waited for warm weather to set in before planting. All of the parts were included, though I did freak out for a minute before realizing that the beans were buried in the bag of wheat grass seeds. It was hard waiting for the weather to settle, since I was excited to see it grow, but pole beans don't germinate if they hit temperatures below freezing. It's 40 and above now in Georgia (75 during the day), so I got started, expecting something to sprout in a week or so. I placed Groot as close as possible to a south-facing window (this window doesn't receive full sun, though, due to trees and wisteria). By day 2 there were a couple of little shoots, by day 3 some grass was taller than the edge of the pot, on day 4 I saw two of the three beans starting to sprout, and on day 5 the two beans that germinated are getting tall and the grass that has sprouted is almost ready for a trim. Overall I've had a lot of fun with this cute kit, and I would recommend it to anyone.

I am only giving this four stars because my dirt packet was missing, but I would have used my own potting soil any way. I don't usually write reviews, but I almost didn't buy this product because of some of the reviews, so I wanted to offer up my opinion. This planter has become a great sense of joy being stuck home during the pandemic. That being said, I wanted to point out, I have tended to it almost daily, so what you see is just two weeks of growth which has been trimmed many times. If your seeds didn't sprout, you probably didn't soak them first. I had significant growth within a couple days. You also need to make sure you are keeping it watered. Because it is a small planter, it does dry out quickly. I also had my beans sprout, but they did take a little longer. Make sure you don't trim them off when you trim the wheat if you want to wrap them around his hands. When things begin to open back up, I may replace the plants with something different, but for now, as long as I trim it every couple days, I can still see Baby Groot just fine. As far as the glow in the dark, I haven't even noticed it, but honestly, that was no consequence to my buying decision any way. The planter itself is sturdy, and the figure is very cute. I thought it would be top heavy, but even I, who is accident prone, have not toppled it over yet. This would be great for a desk because then you could check it and keep it cut. This is not a plant it and walk away plant... It does require some TLC to keep it maintained for how I want it. My son and I watched the Marvel movies during the shutdown in chronological order, so it is also a great reminder that even in a horrible situation, good things do happen! And besides... I'm just a girl who loves Baby Groot!

As a Groot lover I absolutely love this product and the novelty of it. I received it as a gift and quickly set it up and planted the provided seeds. The plants grew quickly and filled the container but all too quickly became too tall and had to be trimmed. You actually only need less than half the seeds provided as they will choke out the bean plant. I am planning on just pulling all the plants that came with it and replacing with a plant of choice. As a lesson on plants and plant growth for students (information included with the item) this is perfect as the plant seeds provided are quick growers and children can get a quick sprout and be able to watch it grow without having to wait too long. Overall it is a great item and I have enjoyed it.

Found this to be quite fun and exiting to start. The best part has to be when you see how much the soil actually expands. Man that thing really (and I mean really) expands. However, the product is not perfect. For starters, it really doesn't glow. Well, there is a very faint glow immediately after turning off the lights, but fades right away. Also, the beans never grew. The pet grass did grow quite fast. Within a few days it passed over Groot's head. Biggest issue I had was mold started growing at the base. The mold is the white fluffy kind. Perhaps due to being inside in a northern climate in the winter. Plant lived a good 3 weeks and now it's dead.

This was a gift and was so cute I not only watched the movie but I bought one for myself. For any fan its is adorable and the plant grows so fast. It is a really neat idea. Plus it GLOWs in the dark. The price was great and it came very quickly. I have no complaints, it was the perfect gift. I ordered this Uncle Milton - Guardians of the Galaxy Grow and Glow Groot on Amazon and paid full price for it. I enjoy being able to share my opinions and experiences with products to help other consumers in making informed purchasing decisions.

okay, so I was cyber Christmas shopping and I found this- for me. It was too cute and unique NOT to get as a fan of the movie and this character in particular. I recieved it yesterday, so I haven't planted the seeds yet, but I'm not worried about it- if they sprout great, if they don't I get more seeds and try again. The real novelty here is the planter itself which is beautifully detailed, a great size for my desk or windowsill, and a marvelous addition to my small assorted collection of various characters that I like from movies. I'm sure this would make a great gift- but honestly if you're gifting this you better order two because once you see it, you don't want to give it away.

Increíble reproducción de Groot de Guardianes de la Galaxia. Muy buena calidad, ideal para tener en el despacho un poco de verde. Hay que cortar el césped con bastante regularidad para que no se descontrole.

Der Mini-Groot für Zuhause. Ein nettes Gimmick und ein kleiner Blickfang.Ich habe mir das Teil eigentlich aus Jux und Spaß für den Arbeitsplatz geholt, aber jetzt steht der Kleine doch Zuhause auf dem Schreibtisch und wächst und gedeiht. In der Packung sind Samen dabei, die aber - wenn man sich Bilder anderer anschaut - keine tolle und ansehnliche Pflanze erzeugen. Ich habe daher mir im Baumarkt bei der Pflanzenwelt einen kleinen Topf "Katzengras" geholt und dieses umgetopft. Sieht toll aus.Der Leuchteffekt ist etwas mau. Da muss schon ordentlich eine Lampe drauf scheinen, damit die phosphoreszierenden Farbflecken auf dem Körper anfangen im Dunkeln zu leuchten. Würde aber die Pflanzen killen...Braucht man aber meiner Meinung nach auch nicht, sieht auch so ganz witzig aus. Für Film-Fans auf jeden Fall ein tolles Gimmick.
