So far: Brilliant!
The AICOOK MD-235E Coffee Maker is an excellent little unit. The instructions are a bit bizarre, and seem to apply to a different model (for example, references to ‘carafe’). At the end of this review I write my ‘translation’ – but please note that I am an ordinary consumer and they are offered as a non-technical opinion with no liability accepted. The package includes two 125ml mugs , which will fit side-by-side on the drip tray under the twin delivery nozzles. If you are making just one mug (min. 5cm wide, max. 9cm high), place it carefully in the centre of the drip tray so it is under both delivery nozzles. I suggest you fill the water tank using the mug(s) you are going to drink from, so that you don’t use more water than your mug(s) will hold. You can use any cup or mug as long as it will fit under the delivery nozzles (see above).I find that ‘all-purpose’ coffee is too finely ground; a slightly coarser grind will give better results. The coffee maker comes with a measuring spoon. The amount of coffee recommended in the instructions (and repeated below) produces a rather weak brew. I like my coffee quite strong, with a little cold milk, so use 3 rounded measuring-spoons (not heaped) for 200ml water. The coffee is quite hot as soon as is made – around 70C, but adding the cold milk drops this to 60C, so I microwave it for 30 seconds which brings it to just over 70C.There seems to be a warming element in the back of the coffee maker, behind the drip tray, which holds at just over 40C - not really adequate for keeping the coffee hot.I don’t see why this should not make excellent espresso, using the right coffee and quantities, but I haven’t tried to make it (I have a different machine for espresso).I’ve been using this Coffee Maker for a few weeks and I’m impressed with what it is for such a reasonable price. The “Before the First Use” instructions refer to ‘Place drip carafe on keeping warm plate’; I think this refers to a different machine. Here is my version of the ‘Make Drip Coffee” instructions:1. Open the top lid and add the amount of water you wish to drip. Do not use more than your mug(s) will hold. Tank maximum capacity is 250ml. Close lid.2. Open filter compartment drawer. For a full tank of water add 2 measuring-spoonsful of medium-fine ground coffee to nylon filter basket with measuring spoon. Use proportionately less coffee for less water. You can adjust the amount of coffee according to your taste.3. Return the filter compartment drawer into the Coffee Maker.4. Place the appropriate cups/mugs on the drip tray.5. Press the switch which will glow red and the coffee will start to drip into the mug(s). Active drip lasts for about 2 minutes, but drips continue for another 2 minutes. Do not remove mug(s) until drips have finished or the drip tray might overflow.6. A gentle heating element will keep the mug(s) warm on the drip tray.7. Remove the mug(s) and press the switch (the red light will go out). Otherwise, the machine will turn off automatically after 40 minutes.

Quickly made coffee every morning with no fuss.
Nice little coffee maker which makes my morning coffee with no fuss. It doesn't really come much easier and faster than this. Open the top lid, fill with water, put your ground coffee in the front shelf and press the button. Exactly what I needed for speed and it certainly is fast. The flavour of the coffee is just how it should be for me. Also comes with two cups which are not too big for my liking. Cleaning the coffee shelf is easy to do.I turn it on every single morning since I bought it. I am well happy with this purchase and would recommend it.

Tiny cups BUT OK!
[Updated after a few months of use]Good: Makes really hot coffee in a few minutes. Very cute thing.Bad: Its two cups equal a bit more (50%) than one ordinary cup so...ok if you don't have to share. For non-Brits: Expect to get a 3-legged useless power plug. So if you buy this gadget also buy a converter. Or get a *pro* to fix it.I'm up and running and love this little cutie-pie. Not perfect but good enough. Use it all the time.

Not what you think. Horrible
If you are a person who wakes up and wants an instant good coffee don't buy this. It takes for ages to make a cup. It just dripps slowly for about 30 mins then you will be able to drink it. Trust me buy another one.

nicemachine
This little machine looks very nice and compact, just the right size to put beside the bed.I have not given 5 stars on everything yet as this is for a gift for my disabled friends birthday, she has trouble getting up in the morning to make a cup of tea and this seems to be a good idea for her. The end of next month is her b/day so I will review again once she has a chance to use it.

To be or not to be
I couldn't believe how small the two little cups are, it's a fantastic machine works well and makes the same noises as them more expensive coffee machines that you see in main shops. For the money I would highly recommend for one person you can drink the 2 cups as they are not very large but I will still buy again because I think it's pretty smart.

Perfect Coffee at last !
The headline says it all. It’s marvellous. Very easy to use not too many buttons to confuse you, you literally pour in the water, coffee and press the button. It brews 2 cups of coffee in around 1 minutes. I really like the two cups it comes with so that I can share coffee or tea with my roommate. It brews hot (I have my coffee black so it’s very hot to me). It is unbelievably smooth even when I've put too much coffee in or too little water - the coffee still comes out smooth and tasty - not a bitter note anywhere - it is unbelievable.Overall a great product for the price. Just be sure to follow the directions and wash the removal parts with soapy water first and let it go through a few water only cycles to get rid of any new products scents. I'd definitely recommend this filter coffee machine.

Good little coffee machine
Good size, ideal for taking away in the caravan; the mugs in picture are small, fitting one full size mug (not supplied) is difficult and will not be fully filled. It's okay for the money.
