Zuzu Luxe Eye Defining Pencil (Slate)

First off, I have switched all my makeup products to non-toxic, safer products. Zuzu is a great natural brand. I have this eyeliner in Slate (blue-grey), Indigo (cool toned purple) and Iguana (bright green). I have blue-green eyes and all the colors look beautiful and make my eyes pop without looking harsh or overly done up. I've gotten so many compliments on them, especially Iguana, as most people comment they are surprised how beautiful the green eyeliner looks. I've worn these on 90 F degree days all day long with just a setting spray and they've stayed on beautifully. They glide on easily and are just great eyeliners overall.

This eyeliner is great, my eyes are really sensitive and they have not gotten irritated from this eyeliner. I like the color a lot, it is not too light or dark. I love that it’s natural ingredients too.

The wear on my normally oily skin is 3 hours before needing retouching. This pretty eyeliner complements my brown eyes with blue-grey ring and has become my favorite. Slate is similar in tone to the dark grey in natural slate floor tile with blue undertones. It is darker grey than Shiseido "natural black," which despite the name, is a medium-grey. * What's missing from the listing description but printed on my box: sea fennel extract and ascorbyl palmitate *Gabriel makes Zuzu Luxe. I buy their makeup because of high quality and they back their products with stellar customer service. A tube of concealer I bought from them dried out prematurely, so I emailed them about it. They promptly exchanged it with a fresh tube. Orders are packed in biodegradable peanuts and they can recycle the empty tubes of concealer you bought. Excellent product + ethical company = will definitely buy again

Great product

I always go back to this black eyeliner. Always best to have a product that uses only natural ingredients when applying so close to the eyes. I've tried many other brands but always return to Zuzu. Easy to apply, goes on smooth, has minimal smudging, good coloring, sharpens nicely and mid range price out of all the natural eye liners.

I like this color a lot, and it looks great until it gets on my eyelids; once there, it is hard to see and very pale. I also found that I could easily draw a line on my wrist, which is where I tested the color. There it was darker and quite lovely. Once on my eyelids, it was another story. It was hard to get on and did not glide over my skin as easily as other reviews suggested on various websites, including the Gabriel Cosmetics website. I am older, and that may be part of the reason the pencil does not easily glide on my lids. My skin tends to be oily at times, and that may also account for the difficulty getting it to set and be visible. I really want to like these pencils better than I do, but I am not impressed with the results, thus far. I also found the blue pencil did not live up to my expectations. I do, however, like the mascaras very much and found them to be excellent. I will try the other Gabriel line and see how those liners match up. Much as it pains me to say, I find Avon's Glimmer Sticks eyeliner easier to get on and with better, longer lasting color.

I bought this eyeliner 3 months ago and it has quickly become the only one I now use. It`s very soft and creamy, doesn`t smudge and doesn`t irritate my very sensitive eyes. And it works very well as an eyebrow pencil too! I just wish it was available in more colours here on Amazon!

Nice quality pencil and lovely colour, but the pigment doesn’t stick to my eye.
