a really great humidor at a super price
I seasoned this properly, and use Boveda packs (72 % humidity) and this thing works like a charm. Really so nice I bought two.

An Absolute Must Buy Iteam for Cigar and Pipe Smokers.
I purchased this humidor to store and age My pipe tobacco because I live in the high desert of Nevada. I researched most of the entry level humidors because unlike Cigar Smokers My needs are a little simpler and not as critical. The first thing is you get what you pay for as a general rule, I choose this piticcular humidor due its cost and it had the fewest One and Two star reviews over most others in its cost category. I received My humidor undammaged with all its items on the the indicated delivery date. The humidor is an attractive design with nice fixtures and ample space for My needs, now to My review of what makes this humidor a very nice buy for the money. The hardware is as expected Fair in quality and appearance, 1. The locking mechanism is loose and the latch is to low and does not catch the lid fixture so I will make repairs if possible. 2. The hinges for the lid are well placed and work smoothly. 3. The Hygrometer at this time is functioning and holding RH of 70 to 72 as I season the humidor, I will attempt to calibrate just so I have an idea of how accurate it actually is after seasoning. 3. The fit and finish of the humidor is excellent, the tray all wood dividers are cut and sanded to a smooth finish and fit well, the Lid fits securely with a nice Glass Payne to view your goodies inside and it did Pass the Dollar Test. The Spanish Cedar construction smelled as expected very nice and the exterior was sanded and stained to smooth finish very nice as well. I would recommend watching YouTube video for reference when setting up this item, the directions are good but getting more suggestions is always better. I am very very pleased about this purchase, I know that the money spent to protect our items of choice is well spent on this humidor. I believe that if you are new to Cigar or Pipe smoking this is a must buy item for the protection and enjoyment of your tobacco products.07/02/17 Update, its been just over two weeks and I have been very pleased with My humidor. I have tested the hygrometer on two occasions after seasoning the box just to be sure and its spot on using the salt test. I have changed out the original humidifier that came with humidor because it would not or could not keep up with Dry RH conditions where I live in the High Desert of Nevada. I purchased a small IKAR crystal jar and 84% Boveda packs which I am using two and it is holding at 78% RH. I have not moved the humidors location to check for optimal placement in My living room as of yet, its current location is out of direct sunlight and not in the direction of any air vents. I have checked the Glass Payne and Lid Seal and there are no RH variations. I keep my home at about 70 degrees plus or minus during the Summer so I hope I have found a combination for optimal storage. I will continue to adjust My tobacco products and Boveda Packs in quantity and location to check for any RH variations.

Desktop Humidor Tuscany 10 Star Humidor
The media could not be loaded. This is my second Tuscany Desktop Humidor I have purchased. My first was purchased through CI. And I paid more buying it through them when I first purchased it. Before I purchased this one I checked their site just to see if they had perhaps lowered the price, they had not. So Amazon still has the best price. These humidors are without doubt one of the best on the market. My stogies average $169.00 a box per 20 cigars. More if bought locally. So that's quite an investment for me buying in large quantity as I do. So it's very important to protect that investment, but just as important to be able to age your cigars properly. And the only way to do that is with a good humidor. But it's important regardless of how much you pay for your cigars. The Hygrometer and Humidifier that come with this are both quite ample to the task. First calibrating the hygrometer requires no more than seasoning the humidor overnight, the hygrometer will adjust itself. Secondly, the Humidifier is a nice 7" long and 3" wide. Not some little round dot, or some slim 1" wide sliver that holds virtually no moisture. Although I normally keep my humidor's treated with distilled water, initially upon the first seasoning I use Stogie's brand of Propylene Glycol 50/50 which is available through Amazon Prime at $9.99 for a 160z bottle. The viscosity of this solution doesn't seem to dry out as fast as just using distilled water in the humidifier, and I also use this for refreshing all my humidifiers. But for re-seasoning the cedar lining, I use distilled water every few months on average which has been more than ample with this box. The lining of any well made Humidor is lined with Spanish Cedar. And the Tuscany Cherry desktop is lined with Spanish cedar. So, from one ceegar smoker to another, you can definitely trust this Humidor as being top notch. It seals air tight. I'd rather have a half dozen of these at this price, than several larger ones that don't keep moisture in and air out. For that matter, I already have one. And it's a ROYAL PAIN IN THE rear.. I made a clumsy little video to show you the Humidors to help give you a good inside look, one empty and one half filled. And I also showed you the one I mentioned that I would strongly urge you NOT to buy. Thanks for reading. And any questions, if I can help, I'll be happy to. Thanks again and enjoy those stogies..

For the price, it's a nice humidor, and it seals well. But unless you smoke small guage cigars, I don't see it holding 100.
I ordered a glass top milano originally and it had trouble holding the humidity. Sent it back and got this one instead, holds the humidity very well. You can actually feel the suction on the lid when you open it a lot more. I don't know if it would actually hold 100 cigars (maybe small ones), probably closer to 60-70 if you smoke bigger ring sizes like myself. But overall a decent humidor for the price. It looks like it might be easily scratched, I have a couple cats that like to climb on everything, so I keep this in a spot where they cant walk on top of it. Other than the fact that I don't think I can truly fit 100 cigars in it, it's very nice, and I would recommend it to a friend.

Beautiful product, took me a bit to figure out how the get the humidity level up
This humidor looks absolutely fantastic with the walnut finish. It is my first humidor, but it looks like it is a quality product. The spanish cedar has a great smell when you open it.I had a hard time getting the humidity to 70% for the 25 cigars I had put in it. I started it with the humidifier full of activator solution, and a bowl full of distilled water (without cigars). The humidity rose to 70% no issue. I then removed the bowl and added the cigars, constantly adding drops to the humidifier. The humidity would not go above 62-63%. I then added a smaller bowl of distilled water (a small glass won't work, you need something with a larger surface), and the humidity now stays perfectly at 70%. Since then, I just have to keep adding drops to the humidifier regularly, and add water in the bowl when needed. So after solving the humidity issue, I am totally happy with this product.

Good, but other than the cedar box itself, everything else is borderline useless
No complaints regarding the materials and build quality of the box itself, although the latter is passable to good by my standards. The humidity gauge is sketchy at best. They provide you with a sponge, enclosed in a plastic casing, which soaks up water and attempts to maintain humidity within the cedar box itself but this component is also passable at best. It holds moisture for a day at most. So the humidor itself is the only redeeming factor. If you need a simple humidor that is cheap with some elegance, this is the way to go. But instead of using the humidity gauge and the humidity maintaining component they provide, please go buy a good well calibrated humidity gauge and Boveda packs. By doing so, you may spend up to 30-40$ more, but you will have in essence assembled a great storage for about 50 cigars which is still quite a bit ways cheaper than some other 50 cigar humidors on the market.

Nice humidor!
Works as deigned to keep my cigars at the proper humidity. Finicky hygrometer though. I ended up using my digital one as it was more accurate by almost 10%. I did wipe it with a damp cloth soaked in distilled water and let it adjust for 3 days. Seems to have done the trick. Nice looking box too! and the latch was a nice add on! One of the hinges was a bit loose but it still works. It will easily hold 2 boxes of robusto's and maybe slightly less in the toro's. would recommend this as a cheap and cheerful humidor!
