PolyScienceCulinary PSC-VBF-0812 Chamber Vacuum Bags, 8 by 12-Inch, Clear, Case of 250

These bags don’t work with the polyscience 150 machine. Very disappointed at the false advertising here.

The size was more to what we need them for.

I purchased a Polyscience 300 Chamber Vacuum, which came with a small sample of different size bags compatible with the machine. Included with the machine were about 20 or 25 of each: Pint (6x10) Quart (8x12) and Gallon (12x14) bags.These bags are thick but smooth, so you can roll them down to fill without the bag wrinkling much (heavy wrinkles may prevent the bag from sealing 100%). I didn't have any problems sealing these bags. I even sealed split bone in chicken with these bags on a medium seal and the bones didn't puncture the bags. The bags have a notch on the closed end to make opening easy, just tear the bag. I believe they are 3 mil in thickness.I ran out of the small bags first, and bought some generic replacements online at a vacuum sealer specialty site (3.5 cents per bag there vs 18 cents per bag here, although although min quantity was 1000). I found the quality of the generic bags to be only a little inferior to these, and they were missing the easy tear notch which was a little annoying, but the price difference was huge. Also, the generic bags were available in many more sizes.NOTE: These are designed for use with chamber vacuums (as opposed to food saver style vacuums that suck the air out and then seal). Beware of this before you buy these, and if you're using a chamber other than the Polyscience 300 make sure the opening on these bags will fit your seal bar.

The first time I have been disappointed with a product from Amazon. This item is a total waste of time and money. I ordered these bags for use with a Foodsaver model V2220. The foodsaver is not at fault because we still have some of our old bags and it works fine with them. These bags will seal but will not draw a vacuum!

These bags do not work. I have a professional vacuum sealer and these bags are not even close to useful. They are smooth on both sides and will not pull a vacuum. This is by far the worst product I have ever purchased from Amazon. It is inexcusable that Amazon would sell something of such poor quality. It makes me question what else they're selling these days that lack quality. Thank goodness I live near a Cabela's so I could quickly get reliable bags when I needed them. These bags actually cost you more in labor trying to get them to seal then purchasing twice more high quality bags.

Won’t suck air out of bags. I have polyscience 150, bags that came with unit work but not theses. These are smooth, no ‘ridges” so that might be the issue.
