Paradigm review
Sharing my comments on this style of tape gun compared to the more common style with a tensioning knob on the axle that supports the tape spool. I think this style is superior because you can use your thumb on the back of the tape roll to vary the amount of resistance, you place on the tape as your package. This variability is an advantage in that often you want to increase tension at the edges to draw in flaps on the box or otherwise compress the packaging to reduce movement. But often you need less tension to get the tape strip, started without breaking the tape or similarly, you are working the gun at a bad angle, such that if the tension is too tight, the rations will contact the tape and cut it. When you are using the aforementioned, traditional style gun, you set the tension at the beginning of the process, and can’t go any less than that, as you begin, taping up the package. Yes, you can set the tension low to begin with, but I don’t think that the geometry of a traditional style gun allows. You to then controlled attention with your thumb. To me this ease of controlling the tension is a better benefit than ease of loading, though I would say it does load faster and easier than a conventional tape gun, and I also agree that while it is not silent, the noise is far less obnoxious than with a traditional tape gun. Lastly, by purchasing the 3” diameter model, you have the flexibility of using traditional 2” width or 3”. The overall build quality looks and feels satisfactory too good. I doubt it is of the same quality as the 3M model which is I believe twice the price for a single gun, but good enough that it would probably hold up well in daily use, and if you’re tapping up so many packages that you eventually wear out the gun, I doubt the cost of replacements matters much. Main point here is it’s not cheaply built.

So much easier to use
At work I found that dealing with the adjustable tape guns are a hassle to work with, the rolls slide off the holder, the screw to adjust the tension is often difficult to adjust, with people always using them, they get beaten up. This tape gun, since I bought it, I can put it to the side (with my name on it), anyone can use it, I just ask them to return it. It is different than what everyone else is using so it is easy for me to find. With this tape gun, I find that it is so easy to use, I don't have to worry about adjusting the tension, the role of tape basically does it as the tape gets used up. The gun is not as heavy as some of the other brands of tape guns, this brand is well made, only one moving parts, and it is spring loaded to hold the role of tape in place to maintain the pressure of the role of tape in place. For me, it was well worth the price of buying my own tape gun.

Best tape gun ever!
This is literally the best tape gun ever! I am a production Lead in a food manufacturing plant. I do a bunch of different things at work. The tape guns the company provides were way too heavy. Using them everyday all day hurt my wrist. This tape gun is so lightweight! It's quick to reload. My only complaint is that the tape slides when I'm using 2" but that's because I have 2" on a 3" gun. I use both at work so I went with the bigger gun. I'm sure this is not a problem when you use the correct size with the correct gun size. Otherwise it has held up for 3 years now. A couple screws have needed to be retightened. And my teeth fell out because the metal became slightly bent. But these were easy fixes. I'm glad this tape gun doesn't have the screws and springs other tape guns have. Our temp workers are always losing them on our work tape guns.

Taming Packing Tape, One Roll at a Time
This tape gun makes dealing with packing tape way less of a struggle. It’s sturdy, easy to load, and actually makes taping up boxes kind of satisfying—no more wrestling with flimsy dispensers or ending up with tape stuck to itself in a frustrating mess. The grip is comfortable, and it dispenses smoothly without getting jammed. Just keep in mind that it’s made for 3-inch rolls, so if you’re used to the smaller ones, there’s a bit of a learning curve. But once you get the hang of it, sealing up boxes becomes way easier (and slightly more fun).
