Yaylabs Softshell Ice Cream Ball

this actually works and the kids and their friends actually don't mind 20 min of strenuous play to make some ice cream for us lazy adults. ice cream is delicious every time. we haven't tried frozen yogurt, but will soon. the only down side is that you will be consuming way more cream than ever. (slow down there friend! this is not a race! ice cream in moderation!)i'm a little weary of the plastic handle it seems like it will be the first thing to break off) but so far so good so tasty.

Worked exactly as described, and was a pleasant way for the birthday boy and Grandpa to spend time together making a delicious treat for the rest of us. Now for the tips: 1) Have more ice on hand than you think you need. Minimum 3 full ice cube trays. 2) Make a note (as in written down!) of which end cap--the handle colors are different--conceals the ice cream chamber and which conceals the ice/salt mixture. You will be glad you did when it's time to stir the mixture part way through the freezing process.

My nephew dropped it thinking it would bounce since it looks like it would (texture like a dodgeball)... The ice cream mixture and ice chambers both broke open immediately. Quite a mess, didn't even get to use it once. :/

My daughter asked for this, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works. My husband is allergic to dairy so it is great to be able to make our own flavors with our own ingredients - we’ve been using coconut milk from a carton. The smaller ball uses about 2 cups and makes the right amount for our family of 4. It takes 20 minutes. You have to rinse the ball which has been rolling around in dirt before opening it. Water does sometimes get inside the rubbery part and leak out later. My kids really enjoy it, we have decided this is a great gift for other families.

Bought as a gift for my daughter and granddaughter to have quality time along with a Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Recipe book. I was told it is easy to use and makes ice cream well.

I bought this as a gift for my niece and nephew. They’ve had a lot of fun with it and really enjoyed the contents.

I gave these to my kids for Easter. They just opened them up at the beginning of summer to make ice cream and one of the tops is missing on one of the balls. We cannot use it at all. It’s past the return deadline and now I’m stuck.

I love that we can play with toddlers and kids to make ice cream together but this can only be used outdoors on the grass as it leaks water. Nit sure it is just condensation but there is a lot of wetness involved.
