These are excellent, sturdy notebooks. And if you write with a fountain pen, the ink will not bleed and obscure the other side of the page, which a lot of recycled-paper notebooks do. These notebooks are not made from paper or bamboo. They are imported from Egypt and made from sugarcane. It took me a long time to find sustainable notebooks that actually work with fountain pens, and these are it. (Sorry, Decompostion. Your notebooks are pretty, but they are not truly sustainable. Not when you're literally forced to used a ballpoint to write in them.) No more tossing the rollerballs into the landfill. Now you can do your daily journaling with a fountain pen and still be able to read it. And the paper is excellent. Fun to write on. Keep 'em comin' Egypt.

These are great. I’ve used them for years.Very convenient size, paper weight is perfect for me, and they always arrive promptly when I order.

I love that these notebooks are fully recycled: The covers are made of recycled Kraft paper, the paper is made of bagasse (the [usually wasted] residue/pulp left when sugarcane is crushed to extract sugar), and the ink is made of vegetable oil. The resulting product has stiff, silky smooth cover (which is great to write or create art on), paper indistinguishable from mainstream commercial paper - except for the beautiful, taupe lines, which are clear enough to write with, but light enough to be mostly unnoticeable behind your handwriting. Definitely recommend.

If you’re using these in a backpack, know that they are pretty heavy, and will add significant weight. They are very good quality, but not what I expected.(still like them though) the covers are more like heavier dense thin covered cardboard as opposed to the bendable thicker card stock that regular/average notebooks have. They could easily stand on a bookshelf if needed. I gave 5 stars even though they weren’t what I was after, because the quality and durability of these is pretty dang awesome for the very reasonable price! They will be fun to draw on with markers.😊👍🏼

I love the recycled nature, and the hard cardboard covers (great for when you need to write on your lap), and the two-pocket insert included. I saw that the paper weight was not that high, but I'd never used sugarcane paper before and thought I'd give it a go. Verdict: the pages are a little slick and as thin as the description suggests. One cheap ballpoint I had couldn't really "grip" the paper's surface well and skipped more than usual. Any gel pen or marker is going to bleed through (see pics). A good ballpoint (top example) is fine, but a 0.7mm pilot G2 starts to bleed through, and my fave Sharpie S-Gel bleeds through so much that writing on both sides of a page with it would look very messy. Sharpie markers are right out. As I said, the description is accurate, and the price is good for the overall build quality of the notebook, but whether you'll be pleased with the paper will probably depend on your pen.

I have been using these notebooks for a while. My current notebook has held up incredibly well for two years of regular use and abuse. It has lots of high-quality sheets making it a good value for the money. I love the fact that it is made from a sustainable alternative to paper. The quality is very high and will be my notebook of choice from now on. The pocket page is also very sturdy and has been very useful for containing the stray notes needed for my research. These are medium-sized notebooks, great for daily notes or journals that you can take around with you, fitting in larger-sized bags/purses. I wouldn't use them for classroom notes, which require (for me anyway) the large notebooks, but for everything else, they're great, especially because the front and back covers are stiff/sturdy cardboard, allowing for on-the-go writing. You don't need a desk for clipboard. These are like the clipboard is built-in.

Nice quality notebooks and cant beat the price
