Q: Perches can squirrels chew them off

Squirrels chewed the port holes to make them bigger to access the seed as well as the perches which I superglued in place cause they were constantly falling off. They chewed it up but they also chew the trash cans in our development so if they are hungry enough they will find a way.

Q: No directions how does the ports close?

The ports close from the weight of a squirrel being on the perches. Because small birds are lighter, the ports stay open.

Q: How do you attach the bottom portion to the feeder top part?

The cylinder and the base are all one piece holding the seed. The black lid screws on and off for filling. The perches are adjustable in length.

Q: Can you tell me what the diameter of the plastic feed tube is?

It is 3 1/4 inches in diameter and the tube is roughly 7 inches tall.
