Solid Color Silk Scarf Can Be Used as Shawl, Scarf and Wrap

NOT SILK! This scarf feels great and looks amazing but I purchased to dye in a Shibori class. Silk will dye within minutes, I wanted a nice dark blue so I soaked for 7 hours. After all that work all the dye washed out immediately. The only think that turned blue was the tag on the scarf.

It was almost as expected. I love that it isn't too shear. I did not expect it to be as big as it is. You can almost use this for a blanket lol.I purchased it to use as a head covering to enter religious places in Rome. I think this will work great.

I thought this was going to be real silk. I should have realized that at 8.99 that wasn't going to happen. That said I'm very pleased with the product. I would not have purchased polyester on purpose however it is fabulous. Super silky sheer soft no flaws. Except the label says 100% silk. I wore it around my neck with a dress on a fall evening that was much cooler than expected. And it did a beautiful job of keeping me comfortable. I do not know if you could wear this where it's hot, with it being polyester. I would buy again.

I would have put zero stars if that was a choice. The scarf is a perfectly nice summer throw if that is what you want but it is NOT silk. I was careful to check the item description before I ordered - clearly says 100% slk. They were bought for dying with tissue paper. When that didn't work I went back to look more carefully at the description - way, way down the bottom it explains it is 100% ARTIFICIAL silk. To be fair company made full refund, but title needs to be changed.

I actually don't like how big this is. I find it LESS versatile. It's too sheer to provide any sun protection or warmth despite what the seller advertises. But shame on me for not paying attention to the dimensions when purchasing it.I would have liked something much smaller that could be used in the hair as well as around the neck.Also I took it on a trip and it's so large I had to put it in a stuff sack to get it small enough to pack and then it got super wrinkly. My trip ended up having a lot of hot weather, so I didn't even use it.I also question it being real silk. Maybe a blend with poly. Another reviewer did the burn test and it failed.

These scarves are beautiful, light/sheer, and perfect for summer.I bought three colours.The grey has a bit blue which is makes it a cool palette color.The white reminds me of the white of mother of pearl.The black is a true deep jet.

The quality of the scarf is ok. I compared it to silk chiffon scarves that I have and it is close to the hand feel. The stitches per inch to clean finish the edges are only 4-5 per inch. It should be no less than 8-9. I bought the black last year and I was please with the overall quality, so I purchased the white, grey and taupe. They have the same hand feel, but the SPI ranges from 4-5 per inch. It's almost a basting stitch. With this said, the scarf is a nice deal if you're not bothered by the SPI.

Item is labeled in a package as 100% silk, a burn test revealed that it is comprised of polyester/synthetic fibers (sample was tested with flame, it melted into hard plastic.)Description on amazon also listed it as 100% silk.The scarf also had an overwhelming odor of disinfectant or cleanser or deodorizer.
