Hot Toys Batman 1989 Movie Masterpiece Collectors 1/6 Scale Action Figure

Hot Toys has some of the best sculpting and painting I've ever seen. Some of the articulation leaves a bit to be desired, but that may be that the joints are stiff when you get the toy, and the posing stand can be awkward to use. But really, you're paying for a mini-person straight out of the Burton Batman film (complete with gadgets and interchangeable hands).Pick up the to-scale Batmobile to complete the effect.

So, finally I was able to get this at a descent price. Now I could've gotten this at a cheaper rate when it was first released but, I continuously kept on putting this toy Batman off and telling myself over and over again "I'll get it later" so when I finally was going to purchase it, it was completely sold out and I totally kicked myself in the ass for it.Batman Michael Keaton (1989) to me was the best Batman ever. This movie was so great to me and had a big part in my childhood that there was no way that I wouldn't get this Movie Masterpiece Figure, this was a perfect and fantastic addition to my toy collection. The sculpting and detail work on this is so superb. If you're a true die hard fan of Batman this is a must have piece for you. I promise you will not regret purchasing this Batman piece.

impressive.great attention in detail and good quality in product. not going to say much because the reviews on U Tube says it all. but I will say I'm glad to have it in my collection and the rubber feel in batman's body armor is a unique bonus.

As others have said, the likeness to Michael Keaton is eerily accurate and I love the 2 other faces he comes with along with all of his gadgets. I have only two complaints about this figure.One is the pose ability of the piece. Since the figure is actually wearing the rubber suit, this makes posing the arms incredibly challenging as they want to often return to a relaxed position and the handle part of his grapple gun is easily jostled off of his magnetic belt.The second complaint is that while I was adjusting his cape, one of the fin blades on his gauntlet broke off. It was nothing that a drop of glue didn't fix and replacement fins are included so it's almost like Hot Toys assumed that would happen to collectors at one point or another. I would think it would have been wiser just to make the fins and gauntlet one solid piece.Aside from those 2 things, this is a killer collectible and is as accurate as a 1989 Michael Keaton Batman is ever going to get!

If you want a lifelike '89 Keaton Batman, look no further than Hot Toys 1/6 scale figure. This is THE BATMAN you've always wanted. My youngest son was freaked out by how real the figure looked. It comes nicely packaged and with a range of accessories. These figures are longer made, so I'd pick up the 3 left on Amazon before they become a thousand dollar collectible.

The likeness to Michael Keaton is eerie. You feel like he's in the room with you, that's how lifelike it is. Can't recommend it enough. I'm not that big a fan of the '89 movie as I used to be since the Nolan versions came along, but Keaton is far and away the best Batman...ever. Had to have it.

It is a great looking figure, but be warned most DX figures have frozen or broken PERS (Parallel Eyeball Rolling System). The design is flawed because the parts are made of brittle plastic instead of die cast. Hot Toys has corrected this problem in the new Batman Returns figure which has an Independent Eyeball Rolling System very similar to Enterbay figures. The 89 Batman PERS utilizes a plastic cross bar and handle and over time under several uses as few as 5 times the cross bar will snap leaving you with a cross eyed Batman figure. Another negative is the rubber suit (petroleum based material) will ultimately degrade and split especially if left in bent arm or leg poses. Rubber and latex will absolutely break down so be prepared or cautious when buying collectibles. Weight the cost against durability. Older figures degrade.

Heavily over priced, but by far the best looking and most solidly built of the Hot Toys Batman figures. The only reason I give it four stars is the poor quality of the cape fastener. For the amount of money these figures cost, it should be well made in all areas. Instead of using a metal snap or Velcro, it utilizes a very flimsy and easily broken plastic snap. I had to make a repair as soon as I tried to put it on the figure. Since I use these figures for photography, it is of little consequence to me, but for a serious collector, take great care with the cape as the fastener is quite delicate.
